H. GRANGER ([info]bookophilia) wrote in [info]timerift_log,
Hermione hadn't expected Ron to keep much of a schedule when it came to letters. Between work and, well, being Ron, she'd anticipated the post to be sporadic at best. They were always a highlight though, even when the bulk of uneven paragraphs were mostly complaints. Who'd have thought she would've ever missed that? Of course, fondness didn't stop Hermione from reminding him that being an Auror was more than bombastic heroics and that this assignment was unprecedented. The fact that he and Harry were capable adults also didn't keep her from worrying. The sky was blue, water was wet, and Hermione would forever be prone to fretting.

So, when she inevitably approached McGonagall about taking a sabbatical and making an appearance, the older witch was hardly surprised. In fact, she saw merit in the idea.

With little more than a charmed bag that was much bigger on the inside, Hermione arrived via the Floo, looking only slightly uneven as she stepped up to complete the necessary paperwork.
