She saw it. The flash of anger. But she didn't ask. The Doctor was clever, alright. And this version of her could read people more than she sometimes would admit- more so than the fez version, anyway.
She bit her tongue for once and slowly smiled. Charlotte. Yes. Good.
"I couldn't lose you," she explained, her voice softer. She did lose her, though. She'd put her in a computer, but there had been hope at least. There had been a version of her around, hasn't there been? An electronic ghost.
And here she was now. The Doctor had been right. There was another chance. Her smile grew a little more. "It is good to see you, River. It really, really is."
