Everyone she knew was wary, so when the person opposite her responded in the same way everyone she ever trusted would normally, Babs took it as a this girl's got her head on straight kind of thing and would never hold it against anyone - especially considering that this would knock most everybody out of sorts. Still, the smile didn't waver and Barbara shrugged a little, opting to not fidget with her fingers and stuffed her hands into the pockets of her shorts - "I wish I could tell you," her shoulders shrugged comically as she started to turn on her heel and thought about walking backwards, "best I can offer is I think that this place used to be in England," her eyes wandering around at the buildings and how they were structured, "and like not normal England - this stuff is all sorts of out of time, like there are lots of period structures but the signs look newer - but it doesn't look like it's a historic reenacting town or anything," she sighed, rocking on her toes and her heels, opting to turn properly and start to walk along the side walk, casting a glance back at the other person, "which is absolutely not where I'm from, guessing not you either," again, Barbara was not usually in the business of making people uncomfortable, not while she was just her anyway. So the warmth that she was showing the other person was not a stage or an act put upon to try to garner favor or anything of the kind, she was just Babs and Babs was trying to figure out where the heck they were - "some guy told me he was from California earlier," she shrugged, "so, we could be in a place where we were on Earth at some point," her brows furrowed, "it's just a matter of which Earth.." the last part was more whispered, kind of to herself, a little troubled for a moment. "But if there was a way in, there's a way out - right?"
