Natasha Romanoff and Peggy Carter
Natasha would have been lying if she said she wasn't grateful for seeing Peggy coming up. As much as she loved throwing these gatherings, she owed the woman for her contributions and she counted her among her closest friends.
"You didn't do half-so-bad yourself," she laughed a half-lie and a coy smile. "I have you to thank for half of it, don't I?"
Her eyes were scanning the room already, keeping an eye out. It seemed natural to her to always be aware of her environment.
"Speaking of not-so-bad, have you had a chance to talk to the Birthday Boy just yet?" Cutting right to the chase.
