His reaction caught her entirely by surprise and Tonks just stared at him in shock as Lupin practically keeled over laughing. Honestly, she didn't know whether she should be relieved or miffed! Hey, it was a valid-- Okay, no. No it wasn't. It wasn't at all. Maybe she should hide. Hiding, yeah. Hiding sounded good. Are you sure? Her mind mocked. 'Are you sure?' What was she bloody thinking, 'are you sure?' Excuse me Mr. Werewolf, but are you sure you go fuzzy one day out of the month? People have been known to be mistaken about that in the past! Aargh, Official Auror indeed. "I'm so, so sorry." She mumbled, trying to hide the bright red tone of her face behind her teacup. "I couldn't help myself. You just.. Well. You don't really.. Well you don't really exude werewolf..ish..ness..dom. Thing. You just really, really don't look like what we're trained to look for in Werewolves." The images she remembered from training all ran further along the lines of disheveled and matted hair and blood stained clothing. Some werewolves, one of her instructors had said, even became so badly infected that they never really reverted fully back to humanity at all. None of it really fit in with kindly, tea serving host.
Tonks sighed as she tried desperately to regain some sense of composure, nodding. "Well.. I suppose in your Marauders context it works. Sirius has a strange attraction to fire hydrants and you're a werewolf. It.. Well it makes sense, really." Suddenly her eyes went wide and she gave a grave nod with a huge grin, looking every bit as smug as she felt when finally something began to make sense, "Oh, moony, like the moon! Oh, I get it now! I'd wondered about that one. I always thought you just liked to stick your---" This time her brain stopped her mouth before she could make an even bigger arse of herself and Tonks took another chug of her tea, "--nevermind. So this is why you're working to pass those legislations in the Ministry?"
