Marcus laughed lowly, clearly hearing the annoyance in Wood's voice, the laughter masking his own annoyance. It was a result of his anger with Wood that the other left all too soon the previous time, his remarks, and something that he couldn't quite define yet. Maybe it was a sort of strange excitement to see the other, over here. It was like the old times.
"Just thought I could get some practice," he replied, and even though it was dark and Wood couldn't see him well, he could surely hear the sneer in Marcus' voice. It was more than obvious that he was just teasing the other, as he flew back down on the ground.
