"You didn't know? Honestly Theo! I am not that nice to many people. Do you see me cosing up to Goyle or Crabbe? Studying with them? Talking to them much? You, on the other hand, have been the recipient of my good feelings many times."
Pansy settled herself against Theo better and felt herself relaxing. There was no pretense, no need to be so completely on her toes and good behavior, like she felt when she was with Draco. Draco had always been the ideal her mother had pushed her towards, and she knew she could play the part well, the utterly perfect girlfriend. But was it what Draco wanted? He certainly didn't act like it, leaving her alone, even if they had danced together and had a very good time. Draco hadn't held her like this; she wouldn't have dared make a move to lay her head on his shoulder or chest. Theo was far more receptive, and very comfortable to cuddle against. And he liked her; the serum made him tell her the truth.
"You shouldn't be intimidated by Draco Malfoy. You are a far better person than him in many ways," she said, and then winced slightly at how harsh her words sounded, "I mean, it shouldn't stop you from coming and spending time with me, like eating with me or hanging about the common rooms together. Would you do that?" she asked, putting the question to him to see what he would say.
