Marcus didn't reply for a second. It was a hit bellow the belt, but for some odd reason, it didn't make him so angry. The fact itself that he had to repeat didn't make him all that pissed off, what angered him more were the reactions he got - especially some of the reactions back at home. But he never spoke about that, and didn't plan to either.
It only made him try so much harder at Quidditch, to prove he was good at something. Hell, good wasn't enough; he was better than people around him, and he wanted to be the best.
But of course he would not tell Wood this. "Told you I loved this place all too much. Besides, I couldn't leave my favourite toy behind."
