Ron had never noticed how nice she smelled before, or how her brown eyes seemed to have a bit of sparkly things inside them as she smiled. Her hair brushed his hand on her shoulder when she turned, and it was soft there, not rough or coarse in the least.
He turned his hand and touched the hair that rested there, and then looked startled at his actions. His face burned a bit red, and he dropped his hand to his side.
"Of course I was worried about you. I wouldn't want anything to happen to you," and he glanced over his shoulder nervously and turned back to face her, "That stuff you said about Boot. You're not serious are you? I..I got to talk to you, Hermione. It's important," he said and he moved his hand to her arm and slid it down to find her hand, looking over at the librarian who seemed to have magically appeared.
Ron turned down the long aisle, and chose a side path, leading her by her hand until they reached the far wall, far from prying ears.
