Ron nodded, "I could tell anything to Hermione, well almost anything. And I sort of would like to go with her," he said softly, thinking about his friend who was probably up in the library right then, studying. He'd been so eager to get out here and talk to Mandy that he hadn't thought to ask Hermione if she wanted to come out too. He felt disappointed in himself in that moment for not thinking about her, and disappointed that he was so damn dense.
"Okay, how about this? We can still all meet to speak about Quidditch, because let's face it, that idea sounds positively brilliant. And I'll go talk to Hermione today, tonight and try to see if she wanted to go with me. I'm not really sure she does, but its better to ask," and he walked at Mandy's side as they passed the Three Broomsticks and headed into the center of Hogsmeade.
Looking about, Ron saw some guys heading towards Honeydukes; the candy store was his first destination. He turned back to Mandy as he stopped, "Thanks for doing this Mandy. My brain was about ready to pop with my doubting. Do you want to go in there with me?" he asked, pointing at the sweet shop, "Or do you have other plans?"
He looked at her, waiting, not ready to just leave her if she'd nothing else to do. He didn't want to annoy her and then hear about it later on from Harry.
