Ron gave a small snort, "If I asked my brothers, I don't think I'd heard the bloody end of it. They make it look so damn easy. I mean even Percy managed to keep a girlfriend," and he glanced at Mandy, "I just never thought much about girls," he confessed, "I've had other things on my mind. Not that I don't like girls, don't get me wrong. I do," he added quickly, thinking about Harry's announcement to the entire Gryffindor common room last week.
"I guess I just haven't really met someone who's made me think of things like that," he said, "You know, like love and all that."
He didnt' speak for a few moments as he thought about a plan to talk to Megan. He glanced at his moving feet and looked up, "Okay, so ask her when we are alone. But what if I botch it? Say something completely irrational and stupid? Then what?"
He grew silent, "I wish I had more girls who were friends. Maybe I should just start there?" he asked, turning to look at Mandy again.
