"Mandy," he said, slightly startled to see her appear so soon but also highly relieved, "I'm good, well, fine really," he answered nervously, suddenly feeling his palms go slightly damp as he thought about the topic he wanted to address with her.
"How are your classes going? Harry says..," he starting, trailing off for a moment as he stuffed his hands into his pockets, "Harry says you two have been studying together. I guess its working. He is doing pretty well on his homework essays, at least the ones he's let me copy."
Ron stopped, and looked a bit chagrined, "Sorry. I'm not sure if I was supposed to let you know that or not. We sort of help each other out. You know how it is, mates and all," he asked, looking quickly at her face and then glancing about, clearly nervous. He looked back at her, "I'd hoped to have caught before Harry came out, so I could chat up something with you. It's a bit personal in nature, if you don't mind," he said, his shoulders coming up as he sort of hunched down into them and then dropped them. He knew he was fidgeting, but he couldn't help himself. He was not at ease is speaking with most females. He sort of avoided it, truth be told except for Hermione, who didn't seem to count as a girl, and as his friend.
