He noticed her smile and it made him blush a bit, wondering how things had managed to go out of hand that way. "You're not predictable..." And that was the main reason why Severus was so confused about the whole thing. He was used to read people so easily, the reasons why they did things, but this... this felt like he had been thrown back to his student years.
"I don't know..." he muttered, rubbing his brow nervously. "Help... some complicated potion... information... or maybe..." he took in a deep breath. "Just a laugh." His jaw clenched tight. "Just like when I was a kid... get close to Snivellus, treat him nicely and you see how he'll cry when you go away."
His face was hard, his lips clicked as they pursed, he should have not said that, he didn't want her to know, he didn't want any one to know.
