It was strange, he would have expected her to jump at the chance to drill him, but now she was meek and nice, not at all the aggressive woman he had met that night in the teacher lounge. "Are you okay?" he asked, wondering if she was just trying to avoid talking because she wanted to move on and forget about what happened.
Of course he could do that, he told himself, he was going to cling to no one.
