Luna beamed at him. "Oh, that would be great," she said happily and started picking up the brooms and gathering them into her arms.
She had to admit that she liked Oliver. Although she rarely met anyone she didn't like, she had a feeling that she and Oliver could be good friends. Of course he wouldn't stay here at Hogwarts forever, but they could owl each other, and meet during the holidays.
They walked up to the castle then and dropped the brooms and Quidditch supplies at Madam Hooch's, then made their way back down to the lake to take their walk.
"I love autumn," she said happily. "It's so beautiful around here at that time. Of course it's also beautiful in the winter, spring and summer, but autumn is especially lovely, don't you think?"
She smiled, and then her smile widened when she saw one of the Thestrals by the lake. "There's a Thestral," she told him. "Do you want to stroke it? Of course you can't see it, but they're really lovely. Their skin has an interesting texture. And maybe it'll let us fly. You like flying, obviously, so maybe that would be nice."
