WHO: Rosalie Hale and [Irina of Denali] WHAT: Rosalie's wondering where everybody got off to… WHERE: The Cullen's Property, Back Yard WHEN: 12:00pm August 21st, 2006 STATUS: Thread, Complete RATING: PG
Rosalie stood in the middle of her home and looked around. Where was everybody?
She knew that some of her family members had gone hunting, and some had gone to go shopping in Port Angeles, but…they couldn’t all be gone could they? She listened and there were few sounds in the house. She could see outside and the trees were blowing causing a few taps of branches against windows but she should be able to hear who else was home. She hadn’t been in the shower for that long. It was a rarity that there was nobody home. There usually was somebody around; especially now that the house had five extra vampires hanging around it, making them in total ten.
She loved that her cousins were visiting. She’d missed them a lot. Irina and Tanya were like sisters to Rosalie and she adored them. She adored all of the Denali's. And the two sisters just had a lot in common with Rosalie, and she enjoyed that. She didn’t envy them though. The three sisters had been alone for quite some time, and Rosalie sometimes thought she had a little bit of an upper leg on them, only because she had found her one true love, and they’d all agreed at one time or another that her husband was a very desirable man. It made Rosalie rather proud that Emmett was hers. Rosalie had joked about lending out her husband to her cousins of the north before, and though it was an amusing idea, she’d likely never share him. Rosalie was too much of a jealous person to let it happen.
The sun was shining brilliantly outside and she walked to the large glass doors, thinking perhaps that people were enjoying the bright light on the Cullen’s private property. She slid the doors open and stepped outside and was instantly hit by the warm sunlight. It felt nice on her skin though it was unlikely that it would ever make much of a difference when it came to how their temperature felt to humans. They were always so cold. Well…their bodies were dead, of course they were cold, it wasn’t really rocket science. But to other Vampires they were just as comfortable next to each other. Emmett’s body would often feel like it was actually getting warmer, especially if they were making love. Though it was likely just their body’s temperatures mingling, it still felt that way. And that’s all that mattered.
Rosalie actually quite liked the fact that she sparkled. Of course it was narcissistic of her, but really she thought she looked even prettier when the sun hit her skin. It wasn’t so much that they looked like a disco ball, but more that they’d had a healthy dusting of glitter. And Rosalie loved things that were shiny (of course, shiny things that had to do with cars were better, but being shiny herself wasn’t so terrible either). Listening, rather then looking with her eyes, she couldn’t hear anybody in the near vicinity and so she decided to stop looking and wait. Sitting down on one of the lounges that they had outside, ones that Esme had picked out just for this house she lay back, her eyes closed (ears forever open however) and relaxed.
