Truth be told, Kim was pretty nervous about hanging out with Lu as well. Kim had been intimidated by her ever since she found out that the pixie used to date Starbuck back in Hawaii. With the way they were talking over the journals when Lu first arrived, she figured they were still super close. She then began to think that since Lu was around now, Starbuck would have no reason to keep bothering with her. Lu was gorgeous after all, so why would he stick around someone like Kim? That showed just how insecure and guarded Kim still was. Now that she was officially with Starbuck, those insecurities were lessened, though they still remained. It was tough to rid herself of them completely when she'd been hurt so badly by her last boyfriend.
All in all, she thought Lu was a nice person so far, especially since she had been the one to initiate contact. It would've taken Kim much longer to work up to contacting her since she was still on the reserved side sometimes. She really wanted to get to know the other girl, not just because she was Starbuck's friend, but because she seemed cool and Kim could always use some more friends.
At 8 o'clock, Kim was just getting to the front of the school when she spotted Lu all decked out in a dress and heels. She stopped short and looked down at her own clothing: a purple sweater, jeans and black boots all topped off with a gray coat. "Um.. I feel a little underdressed," she said with a sheepish laugh.
