Saturday, 11/10/07 Who: Ava and Nate When: 7:30 and onwards. Where: in town. What: The laser tag battle. Intensity guarenteed. Who will win?!
Nathaniel stood in the student lounge, hands in pockets, and waited for his fellow vampire to arrive. He took various things in life seriously and to some extent, games, so he intended to win. Finding a partner to play games with was a stroke of luck as he was hesitant to make more friends than he had already. As much as he disliked being a vampire, he had to admit that spending time with someone of the same kind was all right. Different. She happened to be friendlier than he thought vampires were and that was a definite plus.
Ava would have her work cut out for her with this game as he was not joking about his expertise with waterguns (closest thing to bragging he'd get), but he had the feeling that she might enjoy the competition. Playing games was a decent distraction from life and he needed a break from worrying. In fact, there was nothing he could do except to wait for however long until Frankie wanted to see him again. He'd devote a portion of his energy to completing homework to perfection and a good chunk of the rest could be used in his games against Ava. That meant he was going all out and she would get another taste of his intensity. Another couple of minutes passed before she appeared.
"Hello," he said cordially, already in no-nonsense, determined to win or die mode. "I hope you rested well because you will need all your energy this evening." That had to be enough incentive for her to become even more charged up to win. "Also, why don't we say the whole day instead of half of it? So, tomorrow the loser will be chilly." He gave her a look that hinted he knew it wasn't going to be him. Needless to say, she had opened up a Pandora's box in him that wasn't released very often (because he thought it best). Ava was a vampire; she could take it, right?
