Week 1- Thursday
Who: Ita and Fisher
Where: Ita's Room, to begin with
When: Afternoon
What: "Sibling" reunion
Everything was hectic, and everyone was milling about the school. It was like a madhouse. Well, it actually was a madhouse, but Fisher meant figuratively. Classes were beginning the next week and everyone was here there and everywhere, and not to mention all the uninvited guests in Fisher's room. It was overwhelming. So Fisher decided he needed a break, one that even James could not give him. Being around James was... well, not the same as a break. That in itself could be work.
As he walked down the hall, a few people nodded their heads at him politely. Some people just barely acknowledged him, making brief eye contact and going about their business. Some waved. Some said hello. Some ignored him completely. It was chilling to think that the friendliest people he saw in the hallways were also the ones who were dead.
He couldn't stop thinking. His brain was like a huge black cloud of emotion and turmoil, and it needed to stop. So what did you do when there were stormclouds overhead? You went in search of sunshine. And hopefully, that sunshine had peach pie.
So he wandered into the girls' dormitories, and he located Ita's bedroom and knocked. And when she opened the door, and he saw her, it dawned on him that she was his friend. An actual, living friend. And even though she hadn't been at the school when shit had gone down, she could have been. And she could be dead right now. But she wasn't, and she always looked happy and pleasant, and after everything that had happened recently, what with rehab and Halcyon and James and just the idea of a normal life, Fisher suddenly felt this overwhelming sense of gladness. And in a most uncharacteristic fashion, he threw his arms around Ita and hugged her tightly.
"Hey, you," he said simply.
