Who: Mikhail and Sydni When: Evening into morning Where: Outside the school What: Lycans get the urge to procreate around the full... Rating: PG-13?
The full moon no longer made Mikhail anxious. Once upon a time he got nervous about it, but after years of preparation and understanding the monster within he had no fears. As far as anyone else was concerned, he had full control over the beast. It was, more or less, true. There were times when he allowed it to run wild because keeping it locked up was not a good idea. He tried to teach that to his students while helping them learn to leash the creature. Finding equal ground on the side of control and the side of sharing responsibility was hard. Mikhail knew that from the personal experience of never having anyone to help him learn how to deal with his disease.
Tonight was no different than any other. He brought his bag out to the wood with him as usual, leather jacket hugging his arms. The cold air was bracing and welcomed. It calmed him, as though he had to focus more on keeping warm than keeping the beast. Mikhail chose not to worry about what would happen. Stress would not make the changes he was so used to go any smoother or faster. However, he was prepared to get an early start. The moon was high and glowing on this beautiful night. His clothes were shed quickly, a practiced timing left him able to dispose of the articles without standing naked too long in the chill. Bones cracked and muscles moved, skin stretched and he changed from man to a half-man half-wolf figure.
A snap of his jaws, a growl in the back of his throat, he was ready. Mikhail took off at a swift pace to get ahead of the pack that would be out and about within half an hour. The wind on his face, brushing through his fur, felt great and somewhat welcomed. He didn't always hate being wolf, it was only unfortunate that some times he did more than others.

Sydni had been thoroughly put out when she'd realized that the next full moon was on her birthday. Her birthday! She wouldn't even get a party! Well, not that she expected a party. She didn't think anyone knew her birthday here. Maybe Frankie. It was too funny that their birthdays were so close together.
At first, the thought of celebrating her birthday as a furry perturbed the brunette and put her in a foul mood. But as the week progressed and the full moon energy made her a bit ADHD, Sydni found herself looking forward to the full. It didn't hurt that being around Mikhail gave her an instant boost emotionally. Of course, two weres together around the full... Well, the scientist found herself absolutely insatiable, and her sleeping schedule was suffering. It didn't matter much, though - she had more energy than she knew what to do with. The problem was that her lectures were a bit like trying to track a fox. Never a straight course.
As she expected, her mother and father had sent her a gift in the mail, and they called early to wish her a good day. Sydni rambled for a good 15 minutes before she finally said goodbye, opening her present as she chatted away. It was a beautiful gift - a fire opal necklace set in yellow gold. It was expensive, surely, but the lycan greatly appreciated it, and wore it for most of the day. Until it was time to go out for the full.
Sydni was a bit anxious, but her excessive energy was more overwhelming, and she bounced on the balls of her feet in her hiding place. She decided to go this one "alone", without being by Mikhail's side. Shy as she was, she found a spot alone to stand as she waited the change. It always hurt, but like getting a tattoo, you could only wait for it to end.
As soon as the shift was complete, Sydni took off running as well. Her white coat was ghostly in the moonlight, practically glowing in the soft light. She wanted to run and run and run. She wasn't even hunting, just moving. She was free.
---
As night hit and his fellow wolves came out to play, Mikhail lifted his head from the spot he stood upon. Nose to the sky, sniffing the air, he checked for security amongst the students and staff. All smelled and sounded well. He had no feelings of fear, no worry. It was nice to not have to worry for a change. Though he wondered where Sydni was. Perhaps she didn't feel the need for him to shelter her anymore. While proud of her, Mikhail didn't so much feel like being the one alone tonight.
But for roughly an hour of the night he let her alone, wandering around on bouncing steps as he weaved through the dark trees. The dark furred creature made little sound as he moved, brilliant and glowing eyes seeking out those he knew. Several students were passed on his journey to find his snow white princess. Finally, however, the wind blew his way and her scent was caught upon his nose. Turning his head with a tick, Mikhail opened his mouth and let out a howl to warn her that she was coming. After that was when he took off, strong legs carrying him forward through the wilderness. Occasionally his hands touched the ground, he leaning too far forward in his run. No matter.
Where was she? he thought. Was she hiding? The wolf liked games--it was a little known fact. He let out another howl, of question this time, and swiveled about his ears to listen for a reply. If none came he would leave her be, if one did reach him, he would not let her alone.
---
Sydni had been running, not really thinking much of anything but how it felt to run. The strength of her own body. Suddenly a sound made her stop. Swiveling her ears, she waited for a moment, digesting the sound and sniffing the air. Her breath came out in small puffs. At the second howl, she didn't wait, but returned the call, running towards her dark furred companion.
She wouldn't make it that easy though. She knew he'd find her, but she wouldn't just wait around for him. Perhaps he'd just catch her scent, crossing her path, or maybe a glance of ghostly fur as she ran by. But he'd have to work to actually find her. It was only right.
---
So a game it would be. Mikhail tore off in the direction of the white wolf, fur shaking with jagged motions from his long, thunderous strides. There was an almost frightening amount of power being his stride alone that fighting him would be deadly should one not be prepared. Fortunately, he was not a fighter. Even as a wolf he would only go into battle because he had to, not because he would want to.
Instigators beware.
But Sydni was more difficult to find than he anticipated. She kept running off until he finally, after stopping and standing in total silence, caught her. Reaching out with large, clawed hands, Mikhail pushed the female onto her back and gave her a rather affectionate rub on the cheek. How was your run? he seemed to ask as he let her up. It felt strange to be able to be caring and somewhat lovey in this form. Mikhail had never had a partner during the full before. In his seventy-something years of running in the night as a furry beast he had never had the pleasure of company. This was a nice change.
---
Being a young wolf, not just by age of turning but also by overall life span, Sydni was a playful wolf. She was definitely playing, letting him get close enough a couple of times that he may have thought the game over. But then she would run off, like a dog with a shoe, for him to chase her. Her movements gave the impression of exuberant energy moreso than raw power, although that was there.
When he finally caught her, she tried to wriggle away at first, and then "smiled" when she realized she was caught for good. She licked his nose in a playful manner, and then he nuzzled her cheek and she nuzzled back. Unlike Mikhail, Sydni did not have a true agreement between her human mind and her wolf mind, so she was more wild. Control would come with time. When he let her up, she stood and nuzzled him again, happy to have someone to run with. Moving a few steps off, she seemed to invite him to come with her.
---
There was a moment in which Mikhail circled Sydni once they were standing. She wanted to run more, and his head gave a nodding sort of tilt. He would have let her lead the way, but females never led unless the male was dead. Well, this male certainly not being dead, his dark fur melted into the tree line as he galloped off. Now and then he would pause, look back to see if she was with him, and then continue. It wasn't until they were several minutes into their round-about running that he gave a snap of his jaws to let her go ahead. There was a handful of times when females led. . .
Mikhail didn't find it sick or disgusting that he wanted to let her go first. His reasons were purely instinctual and happened to be something he couldn't control. Wanting to watch her run, see her from behind, the black wolf waited for Sydni to run. Pausing, his golden eyes shimmered in the light as he watched her tail.
Then he took off to chase it, howling as he did so. His howl was like a warning shot being fired into the night. Even if he could have contained himself, turned his nose away and ignored the desire to make her his, he probably would not have. Just once Mikhail wanted to be the beast.
---
If her wolf had been more sensitive to wolf behavior, and not so young, she might have recognized his dominant action. And she would have protested. It didn't matter that she was female. As far as she was concerned, she was equal to a male any day, and she would have fought him to prove it, even if she would have lost.
When he motioned for her to go ahead, she did so, gladly. Part of her knew why he wanted her ahead. And she flaunted it, showing her strength, her femininity, everything that would be attractive to a male in the natural world. Simply by the way she ran, she did this. After several minutes she slowed and turned to face her companion, breathing hard from the exilleration and the hormones. Meeting his eyes, she stood, proud, waiting for him to claim her. She would never submit to his dominance, but she would let him claim her.
---
Even the human side said damn as she ran off in that fashion. He chuckled on the inside, growling in his throat. If she had fought him to lead in the beginning, Mikhail would have resisted the angry urge to beat her into the ground. He was better than that and she didn't know--easy mistake for a new comer to the world of wolves. But she met his gaze and his eyes widened, flaring with excitement. More of this creature before Sydni was Mikhail than the wolf, but the canine felt it too.
Picking up his pace, the Lycan approached the white wolf. Within a foot or two his paws reached out, grabbing Sydni and holding her still. She was all his and so he took what now "belonged" to him. A bark was released into the night upon initial impact, though panting only followed as Mikhail made love to his snow white princess.
---
That was the point. Getting him to say "damn". And he could have beaten her, showed her who was dominant. But she would never submit. She was too proud, even as a wolf. She would fight, no matter how hopeless it was.
When she saw his eyes widen, she knew what she had done, and she waited only a moment before she was in his embrace. She did not know how long they were in that embrace, but all too soon the night was ending, and she would be shifting into her human form. Lazily, she groomed her mate, showing him affection as she waited for the shift.
---
As the night drew to a close and they returned to human shapes, Mikhail found his bare skin upon the cold, hard earth. He held Sydni in his strong arms with his head leaning back against a pile of leaves and twigs that didn't even bother him. It wasn't until his fingers spread out over her stomach, rubbing against her flesh, that he thought they should probably go. All at once he felt tired and wide awake. Dark eyes opened and looked up at the dimly lit sky, the sun rising off in the distance.
"Sydni," said Mikhail in his thick, Russian voice. He felt a little breathless, all things considered. "Is ready go in?"
---
As her bones shifted into place, she held on to the stronger form of Mikhail, more used to the shift than she. She whimpered softly, and then settled in close to him, felt his warm hand on her air-cooled flesh.
When he spoke, she turned and looked at him. A sudden mischevious look on her face, she turned and nuzzled him, then leaned in and began kissing his neck. "I'm ready... when you are..." she teased, kissing his neck softly between each word. As far as she could tell, they were alone.
---
A grin spread across his face, the scar distorting strangely as his eyes glanced down at her. She wasn't exactly in his line of sight, other than the top of her head, so his vision changed and he closed his eyes. "Never ready," he said back in a teasing manner. The hand that had been on her stomach circled over her skin, fingertips passing her naval and sweeping low over her pelvis.
"Good run?" asked Mikhail lightly. He didn't really care for the answer, he wasn't asking about the run despite his words.
---
Sydni didn't care that he couldn't see her that well. She was comfortable where she was, and she continued kissing across his shoulder before she felt his hand run over her skin, low over her body, and she trembled slightly as she smiled.
"Yes. Did you enjoy your run?" Sydni wasn't talking about the run either, as she nipped gently at his shoulder before trying to tickle him. She was constantly trying to find the right spot. Since she was unbearably ticklish herself.
---
Nodding slightly, Mikhail gave a hum in the affirmative. He was not all that ticklish, however, so he lifted his head and watched her with a smirk. "Give up," he teased while taking one of her hands. Bringing it toward his face, his lips kissed her palm before moving down to her delicate wrist and lingering at the dip between there and her thumb. In idle motion his opposing hand, still laying on her stomach, rubbed small circles around her hipbone. The heel of his hand never even moved, that was how idle it was, but part of him still enjoyed the action nonetheless.
"Hn," he mused. "No work. Want stay out?" It wasn't that cold. Besides, he was sure they could find some means to stay warm if they got chilly.
---
The brunette was about to protest when he grabbed her hand and kissed it so sweetly, making her face flush and a soft smile spread to her lips. His gentle caress earned a wider smile and she sighed contentedly.
"Mmm. But you're going to have to keep me warm." As if to prove the point, she shivered slightly and cuddled up to him, burying her face in his chest, kissing and nibbling, her hands running up and down his arms.
---
Chuckling lightly, Mikhail reached out and moved Sydni so she was laying on top of his strong chest rather than just cuddling up against him. His arms enjoyed the way her hands ran over the skin and hard muscle underneath. Occasionally one of the tendons would ripple under her touch, not that he noticed or could control it. "Is easy," he teased. Tilting up his head, the far older man caught Sydni's lips in a kiss and held her for a long time. Breath was taken when it was needed at the last minute, never before.
Hands on her back drew circles or rubbed up and down, finally coming to stop over the bare flesh at the back of her thighs. She had such soft skin, so far as he was concerned. In comparision to his worn hands, her skin was like that of an angel's. Mikhail loved it.
---
Sydni enjoyed being on top of him like that. She could have just laid there and listened to his heart and drifted off to a contented sleep. But it was just as much fun to have his light caresses. The brunette returned the kiss passionately, her hands gripping his arms rather tightly as the kiss continued, a soft moan escaping now and then.
His hands on her back earned a light shiver as they passed over the small of her back, a very sensitive spot for the lycan. Her soft skin was probably from years at sea. Salt water reaked havock on hair, but it was incredible for the skin. So long as you moisturize, too. His rough hands felt good on her. They signified strength to her. She loved his hands - their strength and power, coupled with gentleness. It seemed contradictory, but it was beautiful to her.
Moving more to a sitting position, straddling him, she urged him up to a sitting position, as well, and leaned in for another breathtaking kiss. She wanted to be in his embrace again. This time as herself, not the wolf.
---
Not taking long to catch on to what she wanted, Mikhail pushed himself up with one arm as the other held Sydni against his chest. Her moans caused the most wonderful sensations in him and he so wanted to hear them more and more. Palms moving from her back to the front of her thighs, the man caught her in for another kiss. Having broken away in getting up, he returned to her once again. His tongue broke passed her lips and played in her mouth, the hands on her thighs holding her securly in place. Mikhail had a feeling he knew where this was going to go and he didn't mind it at all. Already, his body was prepared for the second round should she let him have it.
---
She was more than willing to give him a second round. She could feel that he was ready, and she shifted her body to allow him to enter her. A deep moan left her throat as she kissed him, and she held him tightly as they shared in the embrace again. Her lips left his with a nip as she nibbled down his neck, and her hands roamed his back. If it had not been the full, this would never had happened. But her instinct was stronger than her timidity at this point, and she needed to have him right now. No matter that another staff member, or worse, a student could have happened upon them.
---
If a student of theirs should happen upon them, it would be the child scarred for life. Mikhail would feel slightly embarrassed, but it would have been an accident. Anyone with half a brain would know, or should know, not to go in the direction of the sounds that resembled love making. They were a distinct kind of sound, after all. Ones the man released without a care as to who heard.
Now and then Mikhail's eyes would open for a glance around. Occasionally he saw the sky and the sun rising more and more. The dark blue of space and night turned into orange and sky blue that spread across the atmosphere. While he didn't want to go in, he knew they should have. Just because they didn't have classes to teach didn't mean there were things they could avoid. Fortunately, or not so fortunately, he was running out of love to give anyway.
---
Sydni was not a quiet lover. She didn't exactly scream, but she wasn't ever quiet.
The brunette, too, noticed the lightening sky, and the chill on her sweat-sheened skin. Trembling, she nuzzled his neck and murmured, "We should go in. Find my clothes..." she added lazily. All she wanted to do was curl up in his arms and sleep, but they both needed showers. Then maybe sleep.
Too content to be near him, the lycan did not make the first move to get up, though she did shift so he could get up.
---
Nodding once, Mikhail made the first action. They wouldn't have gotten up had he not moved now--or he wouldn't have, anyway. Standing, pulling Sydni to her feet, his lips made one last kiss upon hers before taking her hand and walking with her back toward the school and tree line where clothes were left. His were in the usual place and he pulled his jeans on quickly when they reached his bag. Giving Sydni his coat until they found her articles, Mikhail pulled on a long-sleeved shirt over his head and stepped into his shoes.
"Where is things?" he asked curiously.
---
As they walked, the Californian began to realize exactly how cold it was. Shivering by the time he gave her his coat, she chattered, "O-over th-there," gesturing off, a distance from the school. Wrapping the coat as tightly as she could, she crunched over the frosted grass to where her clothes were hidden under a rock that stuck out from the ground. The little cubby kept the dew and frost off her clothes. She was shivering so badly she had a hard time getting dressed.
"I'm-I'm taking a h-hot shower," she informed him, having returned automatically to his room, since that was where she slept most nights now. He could join her if he wanted, but she didn't really wait for an answer, starting the shower almost as hot as it could go.
---
When they were back in his room, Mikhail gave a nod to her about the shower. He was going to go make some coffee while she showered. As much as he wanted to take the hot shower with her, he was a little too tired. He'd probably take a nap even after drinking a cup or two of coffee. The drink was disgusting and didn't much help him at all, but for whatever reasonhe continued to make and drink the black liquid. He made sure to make plenty extra for Sydni, too, just in case.
Some mornings he felt like this had already become a routine that he welcomed. It was nice to have the same thing to do everyday for someone else, not just yourself.
---
By the time, she got out of the shower, she was quite tired, and finally warm. Her soap, being a very girly soap, was lightly scented, and the heat brought the scent out even more. She did take some of the coffee, to further warm her up, but mostly she just wanted to crawl into bed. Taking Mikhail's hand, she tried to get him to come to bed with her, curling up with her back to him and drawing his arm over her waist. She rarely slept with pj's on, but today she did. She wanted to be warm. Totally content, she easily drifted off to sleep.
