Remington didn't really care if Nathaniel felt put out by being shaken awake. The djinn had done something he shouldn't have, something that may have put them in a great deal of danger. "I can see that they're soldiers, but I did not ask for this. And this doesn't look like any war zone I know about."
He turned on Nathaniel, looking very stern, but trying not to let his temper overwhelm him. That could lead to someone getting hurt. "Where are we... and how long will it take you to get us back? We're not safe here." Nathaniel didn't know anything about warfare, he'd not even know what a Marine was, but he took it upon himself to plunk the two of them down into some war zone! This was bad. Very bad. They would be strangers, and strangers were seen as enemies. Thinking that, he dragged Nathaniel back inside the tent and closed the flaps. "And keep your voice low.
