“You should see my father’s.” Xander said with a chuckle. “Puts this to shame. But then, he’s the one making the money, I’m just freeloading off it.” Which wasn’t exactly true, though the former demon wasn’t the breadwinner in the family. His records made enough to live nicely on, but not more than that. “Galley is in the middle of the boat. Put stuff away and I’ll get us moving.”
He just grinned at her as he moved to take the ladder to the upper bridge. At first he would get the engine running, though he left the boat in idle. Then, he was off the bridge and moving along the sides as he undid the ropes holding the boat to the dock. In just a few minutes after that, he would have the boat cruising away from the dock, and at an easy pace, heading out towards the open waters of the Atlantic.
