Who: Rorie and Sim What: Giving special cookie Where: School When: Noonish
Sim had worked hard. This could work. It had to. She'd studied her books hard before she finally made the batch of cookies she wanted to. The first ones were lemon-sugar cookies she made for Garret because he'd wanted them and she only managed a few the day before and they burnt. Sim's second round came out very well. She was pleased with that bit, now it was the harder part. This special cookie that was the size of her hand, to the finger tips that is, and would be the most delicious cookie to whom ever ate it. Instead of wrapping it up in it's full sized, she broke it in half and added a special glaze to it before letting it dry.
Packing up her things, she set out with the cookies in hand and the normal chocolate chip half in her mouth. Dropping off Garret's cookies for the next day, she went on her next mission. Rorie. So, she had told Garret she wouldn't meddle. That may have been a bold faced lie, but she wouldn't get caught and everything would be okay. So, she walked around with time to spare before her class and found Rorie slightly frowning as he walked down the hall. "Hey," she said as he got closer. Rorie looked up surprised for a moment before recognition hit him.
"Hi," he said as he stopped and waved a moment. "How are you?"
"I'm okay, on my way to my next class," Sim said as she chewed on her cookie. "What about you?"
"Just trying to hurry up and get home. I'm done for the day," Rorie said, a little lackluster apparent in his voice.
"Not having a good day?"
"I've had better," he shrugged.
"Oh. . . Well, here," Sim said handing over the cookie half that was wrapped. "I already had half of it and I probably won't eat the rest. Besides, cookies can turn a day good sometimes." She smiled as he took the cookie with a small smile and nod.
"Thanks, Sim. Um, I'll catch you later, okay?" He asked and she waved.
"Sure, see you later, Rorie," Sim said before walking off. Mission complete. Rorie watched her leave for a moment before moving back to his pace to get to his car. He was going to call Garret when he got home and was settled a bit. Maybe even after his cookie. The ride was quick enough that he barely noticed it before going in and getting things put up and away. He grabbed his phone before looking at the cookie again. If nothing else went right, he was going to eat that cookie. So, he got out a small glass of milk and opened the cookie up and gobbled it up. It was so good! Chewy and moist without being too sweet. It was like the perfect chocolate chip cookie. He drank and milk and set the glass in the sink before calling Garret.
"Hey, babe. Look, before you say anything, just let me talk. I know it's been rough and I over reacted. I know that you love me and not Finn. Well, you're not in LOVE love with him. He's a good friend and he's understanding and he won't replace me. So, please. . ." He paused a moment feeling odd. "Please. . ." He couldn't breath. Only, he wasn't panicked about it. He felt like he was going to sleep, but without the being alive part. Dropping the phone, he grabbed onto the counter before taking the plunge to the floor and into the darkness that was dragging him away.
