Sunday: April/12/09
Who: Wolf and Jason, then Candi Where: Outside a classroom and then Jason's room When: Afternoon What: Jason's upset after the last dream and is going off the deep end.
Wolf slipped into Jason's dream as easily as he ever did and searched out the young man. Wolf smiled when he found him playing with his football. "Jason my boy, this is so boring compared to your other dreams." He said as he came closer. "We will have to fix that." He smiled as the field disappeared and the coyote pack appeared around them. Candi laughing as a five year old Jason ran around her feet and a small blonde girl sat in the grass watching them.
Jason caught the football, growling and not yet throwing the ball at Wolf though he wanted to. He started when his dream shifted. "Will you fucking stop doing that?" He frowned, recognizing where he was, who was around him. Except the scene wasn't a memory. Jason frowned in confusion.
"Now now Jason, just watch, it's a lovely dream." Wolf smiled at him and motioned to the scene in front of them.
Candi turned around and revealed her rounded stomach and then crouched down in front of Jason. "Jason you need to be nice to your sister, you're her big brother she looks up to you. You are her example in the pack, pup." Candi kissed his forehead and handed him a cookie. "Now go take her this cookie since you ate hers and tell her you're sorry." She said softly.
"Your mother would have been lovely...and look at your sister she's just precious." Wolf said with a cruel smile.
Jason clenched his jaw, forced to watch the scene, and felt his teeth grinding together. "Neither exists. That's why this is a dream and not reality," he said calmly. Was he trying to convince Wolf? Or himself?
"That's right Jason it's a dream, a look into what could have been..." He said softly as little Jason hugged his smaller sister and then the scene changed, they were in the pack house and Jason was a teenager now. He was talking to a man that looked like an older version of himself about football.
"You know it was really a shame that your father hadn't come back sooner. He came back after Candi had joined me, while you were still a baby...but he ran again without her there. Terrible man." Wolf said with a frown.
Jason growled softly, stopping the sound the moment he heard it. He'd be damned twice before he'd let Wolf know how much this affected him. It was a dream. That's all it was. That became his mental mantra.
Wolf smiled, knowing the dream was hurting him. He let it continue to play out as Jason watched.
Candi came into the kitchen, older but still beautiful. Jason's sister from the last part was a teenager, another young girl as well as a much younger boy who was again blonde, immediately ran to Jason and hugged him tight around his waist. Excitedly babbling on about how he got on the little league team. "Nathan, come help me set the table." Candi asked as she walked past Jason and kissed his cheek and then made a girl squeak when their father grabbed her and kissed her soundly in front of the children who all made varying gagging noises.
"Really your family would have been adorable...disgusting but adorable." Wolf said flatly.
Jason snorted. "The America dream is two point five kids. Not four." It was the only thing he could think to say to refute what he saw before him. Of course his grip on the football he still held tightened, his heart feeling the pain of longing. He wanted this.
Wolf shrugged and then looked at him. "Do you want it to go away Jason? Would you rather look at something else? I'd tell you to memorize their faces pretty boy but I know you will never forget them." He said with a smile.
Jason was in his room, typical teenage boy room, when his first little sister runs in crying and throwing herself at him. Eventually explaining she had a fight with her boyfriend. So they spend the rest of the night watching movies in his room with more junkfood than healthy, the other siblings eventually crawling onto his bed as well.
"Well what do you think pretty boy, have you seen enough?" He asked as he walked past him. "Or do you want to see more candy coated family moments?"
Jason, angry and frustrated that he was, just shrugged. "Your choice since you seem to be leading this rat race Blood Breath. Just give me a chair to sit in and watch the show?" His voice was heavy with sarcasm, showing just how much he cared.
"Oh my now we are getting upset are we? Well how about this?" He asked with a grin as a couch appeared.
The scene changed slightly, and it was a younger Jason, it was his first shift. And being a young alpha, the first born of their second leader; it was quite an event. There was a party, gifts, congratulations given to Jason, but now he stood alone in the room with his chosen parent by his side. "Mom I'm scared." He whispered to Candi who just smiled at him and took his hand. "We are all scared the first time, but I am here for you, every second I will be here." She said softly as she kissed his cheek. "You can do this Jason Belyea, you are an alpha and my baby boy...I know you can." Candi said with a smile.
"Aw she would have been so proud of you." He laughed and then sat in a chair.
Even though the sofa appeared, Jason didn't sit in it. He rolled his eyes at the scene when really he wanted to stare at it, to memorize every detail. It was one more reason to hate Wolf and resent what was taken from him. "Yeah. Now I know that's not me. Sure as hell isn't my name."
Wolf crossed his legs and frowned at Jason for a moment. "That would have been your name pretty if you had grown up with Candi. Your daddy would have taken her last name since she's the alpha and you would have grown up Jason Belyea." He glanced at the scene and it changed again.
Jason was his age now and the pack was officially making him the second alpha, since his mother was now the head alpha. "They love you so much pup." She whispered in his ear and then kissed his cheek. "you will make a fantastic leader." She murmured.
Wolf sighed and then made it disappear. "Ugh boring."
Jason couldn't even believe the dreams were what could have been. He'd spent his life at the bottom of the pack. Why should he suddenly trust that he could have been alpha? Not possible.
Wolf smiled at his pet and then got up walking past him again. "I know something fun." He said as a chair appeared behind Jason and he was forced to sit in it. "Now don't move." Wolf said as the room changed around them into a cavern with a large bed and gas lamps, with someone in that bed. "Now this is much more interesting." Wolf said with a grin as he walked over to the bed and pulled the blanket down, revealing a naked Jason. "There's my pretty." He murmured as he ran his hand down Jason's naked body.
Jason immediately stood up the moment he was pushed back. "No." All hint of being polite went out the window as he closed his eyes, silently willing himself awake. The dhampir didn't know what was coming, but he didn't want to see it. Fuck. Wasn't working. Opening his eyes, he saw the layout. And himself. Naked. On a bed. "No," he whispered, seeing the look of pleasure on his clone's face.
Wolf smiled over his shoulder at Jason and a regular chain wrapped around Jason's waist and pulled him back to the chair. Then wolf looked down at the clone as he opened his eyes and smiled up at the vampire. "Hello pretty boy." Wolf said softly, wrapping his arms around the clone's waist as he sat up and started kissing Wolf, pushing the clothes off of the sire's body, the jason clone's dick getting harder by the second.
Jason rocked back into the chair, watching the inevitable train wreck in front of him while fighting with it. He grunted softly, pulling at the chain and trying to break it. He could do it. And then use the chain to beat Wolf to death and save his dream.
Wolf smiled at him for a second and then turned back to the clone, now fully naked and sat back against the pillows, pulling the blonde into his lap. The clone quickly dropped his hand down to jerk on Wof's cock to get him hard before kneeling up to line the dick up with his ass and sliding down on it, a loud groan escaping the clone.
Jason growled, his hands snapping the chain that was holding him down and surging to his feet. "That will never happen!" Bending he grabbed the football he dropped earlier and hurled it to Wolf's head.
Wolf smirked at Jason as the clone bounced in his lap, noises growing louder and louder as they fucked. Another chain wrapped around Jason after he threw the ball which collided with Wolf's head. He growled at him and then tilted the clone's head and bit into his throat which caused the blonde to come on his dick without being touched. "That's my good pet." Wolf growled as he licked at the wound while the clone squirmed in his lap.
Jason snapped back into the chair, growling again, watching the euphoria on his dream self's face. No. That wasn't him. That would never be him. Once more he tried to break the chain, realizing he was going to leave bruises on his arms from where he pushed against the links. "Easy enough to make a fucking dream come."
Wolf licked the blood off of the clone's neck and just watched Jason over the clone's tanned shoulder. "It is...would you like me to fuck you like this and see how quickly I can make the real you cum...because I can." He said with a growl, making all of Jason's clothes disappear.
Thankfully, Jason didn't usually care about being naked and considering right now he was a limp as a wet noodle and likely to stay there, Wolf could look all he wanted. It wouldn't change anything. "No, fuck you Blood Breath." Wow, that nickname really suited right now. "But I'll say it again. You're not gonna get me like that."
Wolf licked his lips as he motioned for the clone to get off of him. Wolf walked over to Jason in the chair, followed by the clone who was crawling behind him. "Really you think I won't...how about when I threaten your lovely girlfriend's beautiful skin...or I take your dick away so all you are left with is a hole to be fucked in?" Wolf was angry at Jason, but he wasn't breaking a bone he was just petting the clone's hair.
Jason grit his teeth, once more fighting against the chains. Wolf was all talk tonight. He hadn't done anything other than talk and show. No damage. "Fuck. You."
No Wolf hadn't done any damage, he couldn't but he wasn't going to tell Jason that. "In time pretty one in time." He smiled at Jason and sighed "As much fun as you are love, you're going to wake up now because I"m feeling generous and i don't want to hurt you."
Jason glared at Wolf. Slowly, he turned his hand over, raising his middle finger to flip Wolf off. Keeping a steady gaze on him, he waited for the chance to wake up.
Wolf just gave him a flat look and tapped a finger to the boy's forehead waking him up.
Jason had spent the remainder of the night and all of the morning trying to forget the latest dream from Wolf. He had so many questions. Was it real or what could have been? Did he care? How the hell had Wolf managed to get past the trappings of the dreamcatcher? Did it mean anything? Should he tell anyone? Just when he got close to an answer to one of them, three more would pop up. Or he would go right back to the middle of the dream, watching the siblings climbing into his bed. The approval from pack and family. Having a family.
The dhampir stopped right outside of class, leaning against the wall and unable to make himself step inside. Candi was in there, though the class was not. He couldn't go in.
Candi was in her classroom, it wasn’t a class day but she working on things for class and getting some of her grading done. Her apartment was distracting and a little lonely, at least here in the classroom she stayed focused. Then something was distracting, she lifted her head when she smelled Jason, and he was very close. Candi got up and walked towards the door and looked out in the hallway. “Jason, what are you doing here pup?” She asked as she leaned against the doorframe watching her son who looked totally torn up and exhausted.
Jason chewed on his lower lip, forcing himself to wait until Candi came out to the hallway. "I....I need to talk to you," he said, sounding very unsure and extremely tired.
Candi was surprised that he came to her but she wasn’t going to question him. “Come in here.” She said as she closed the door behind them and then walked up the front and sat on the edge of her desk. “What is it? Did he hurt you again?” She was trying to keep her voice calm but she couldn’t hide the edge of a growl that was there when she asked if he hurt Jason.
Jason followed her inside, moving to sit on one of the desks. His feet dangled above the floor and he kicked them, wrapping his arms around himself for the feeling of protection. "Depends on your definition of hurt." He licked his lips. "What's your maiden name?"
Jason wasn’t like himself, he was almost defeated in the way he looked right then and all she wanted to do was hug him; but that wouldn’t get them anywhere. Candi bit her lip and then blinked at him in surprise over the question. “It’s Belyea, if I had married in the pack and the man wasn’t a stronger alpha than me he would have taken it so most likely I wouldn’t have changed it…why?”
Jason's gaze stayed rooted on the floor, right at Candi's feet, yeilding to her place in this fucked up pack. "He showed me. Showed me us. If he was never there."
Candi had not been expecting that, or Jason’s behaviour. She walked over to Jason and gently touched his arm. “And it was everything you wanted wasn’t it? You, three siblings, your dad there…worse than breaking your bones.” She whispered and then bit her lip.
Jason blinked and pulled back. "I didn't tell you there were others." How did she know? Was she working with Wolf? Even though he knew better, there was still that doubt. Was there something he didn't know?
Candi sighed and crossed her arms under her chest. “No you didn’t, but it sounds like the dreams he used to give me when Crowley was alive. He had a clairvoyant vampire…he would use people’s destroyed futures as a torment…he did it to me and I can only imagine he showed them to you.” She said flatly.
Well, that put him in his place. Jason dropped his gaze again, chastised. "Yeah. He did. Showed me quite a bit relating to them, and then me. Us."
Candi covered her mouth and then closed her eyes for a moment, just because she was an alpha didn’t mean she wasn’t emotional. “Oh pup I’m so sorry.” She said as she reached out again and touched his arm, her hand slightly cool since she hadn’t eaten since waking. “It’s the cruellest sort of dream…they were perfect.” She said sadly.
"You called me that then, too." Jason didn't pull away from her touch, but he didn't look up either. "There was my brother Nathan. Two sisters, but he didn't say their names. We were happy."
Candi smiled slightly and shrugged. "I've called you that from the day I knew I was pregnant." She said and then chewed on her lip. "Nathan, Kara, and Liza." Candi said softly as she looked down. "You and Nathan would have been given your grandfather's middle names and Kara and Liza would have been given their grandmother's names." She said quietly. "I know...I saw it too...we had the almost perfect little pack family."
Jason's throat was slowly closing from the knot that settled there. He wasn't going to cry though. He refused to. "Why? Why the fuck is he doing this?" At that moment, Jason didn't care that Candi hadn't been there for years. It wasn't her fault. It was that sadistic bastard.
"I don't know why he chose our family to destroy pup, only that he did. And now he's trying to destroy any future you could have and that can't happen." She shook her blonde head and then gently touched Jason's cheek. "We won't let it happen."
Jason drew a deep breath, and licked his lips. She knew half of the dream. She may as well know the rest. "That....that wasn't all that he showed me."
Candi looked at him and then motioned for him to continue. "What else did he show you pup? I can only imagine what he used against you."
Once again he kept his eyes on the floor, gripping the desk with one hand. "He showed me what he wants to do with me."
Candi frowned at him for a second and then her eyes flashed gold, she knew Wolf very well and she could guess very easily what he wanted her son for. "He didn't...actually touch you did he?" She asked with a slight growl.
Jason shook his head, though it turned into a wag. "He brought in a clone. A dream me. Who enjoyed it."
Candi frowned and then pinched the bridge of her nose. "He won't touch you like that, I swear." She was angry, and she knew that it wouldn't take long in Wolf's actual clutches for him to molest Jason and do with him what he wanted. "The best defense you have with him, if you're ever around him in person is use your beast. Wolf hates our animals and he has no control over them, at least not power wise."
"Okay." Jason nodded, still mentally trying to figure out which hurt more. Seeing himself violated, or seeing the family he would never have.
Candi felt her heart breaking for her boy and crouched down in front of him. "Jason...I...we won't let him do this. I can't take away what he's done already but I'm here and I will do everything to keep him from ruining what you have."
Jason nodded again, his eyes gold from pain and anger. "I wanna kill him. I've never wanted to do that to someone but I want to bleed him out."
Candi nodded and smiled at him, her own eyes golden. "He won't live much longer Jason I promise you that." She was angry, at everything..
The dhampir shook his head. "No. I want to kill him. Not you, not Charlie. Me." Whenever the shit went down, Jason was going with them, whether they liked it or not.
Candi put a hand on either side of Jason's face and looked into his eyes. "you're not really a pup anymore but I'm scared for you...but okay, you will be there Jason." She said softly.
"Don't be. Because he's not living much longer." Jason stared right back at her, letting her see just how torn up he was about this, how much he wanted, needed it done.
Candi stared into his eyes and she saw how hurt he was, how close to being broken and she didn't care that he was mad at her. She wrapped her arms tightly around him and hugged him. With no words she just held onto him for a few minutes.
Jason needed the touch, the contact at the same time he couldn't stand it, being reminded of Wolf. But he needed it more. So he unwrapped his arms from his stomach and slid them around Candi. She wasn't forgiven, not really, but he still hugged her back.
Candi didn't think she was forgiven, but her baby needed comfort even if he didn't want to admit it. Comfort that really only she could give him. If she could wish away her vampirism she fucking would.
Jason rested his head against her shoulder, trying to slow his breathing so he wasn't so upset, focusing on her just holding him.
Candi knew what a round with Wolf could do to a person and Jason was holding up incredibly well for it. "You're so strong Jason. I know you don't feel it right now but so much stronger than I could have ever hoped for you to be."
Finally he pulled back, shaking his head. He wasn't strong. Jason didn't know how to fight this. How could he be strong when he didn't know how to battle what was attacking?
"You are strong, I have seen men break long before this. You are the alpha you were born to be Jason." She said firmly and then bit her lip. "But that doesn't mean you can't be worried or scared."
Jason took a deep breath. "I am. Oh fuck I'm scared." He wouldn't admit to to anyone else, not even Cassie, but Candi was supposed to be his alpha. His leader. He wanted to be able to tell her.
She nodded at him and then sighed. "If you had tried to tell me you weren't I would say you were an idiot. The vampire is terrifying and he likes it that way. " She played with her necklace and then frowned slightly. "But we will find a way to destroy him."
"I know. If I have to take his head from his shoulders, I will." Jason looked at the necklace, trying to figure out what it was.
Candi smiled at him and held up the necklace for him to see. "It was your great great grandmother's...wait with you I guess that makes it one more great." She took it off handed it to him. "This locket goes to the first born daughter in our family...in our case it will go to your wife." She said softly as she chewed on her lip.
Jason took the locket and looked at it, hesistant to open it. Still, for a moment he closed his eyes. The scent of pack was so strongly embedded in the metal that for a minute, he felt safe.
Candi smiled at him and chewed on her lip as he held the locket. "there is a present for you for the day you get married." She said with a slight smile, as he examined it.
Jason chuckled, though it wasn't a happy sound. "Not sure when that's gonna happen given the circumstances." It was getting harder to be intimate with Cassie due to all the dreams from Wolf. Jason didn't want to endanger her any more than necessary.
Candi smiled at him and shrugged. "Someday pup, it will happen." she wanted him to be distracted from Wolf but obviously that wasn't going to happen anytime soon.
It probably wouldn't happen until Wolf's head rolled on the floor. And even then, not without a helluva lot of therapy or a mind wipe. Either was fine at this point. "Maybe."
She sighed and nodded. "Okay, maybe." She said softly as she leaned on her desk and then frowned slightly. Candi hated that Wolf was ruining her son's like like he had hers, he just hadn't killed him yet.
Wolf had tried. Jason was half dead. He was the boy who lived. At the connection, Jason started to snicker. Seriously? Harry fucking Potter?
Candi raised an eyebrow at Jason and then shook her head. "Not sure I want to know what is making you laugh like that." She said with a smile.
Jason grinned, looking up at Candi. "I'm 'The Boy Who Lived'." He kept laughing, his shoulders shaking from it.
Candi was a little surprised and then covered her mouth to laugh and then sighed at him. "You need sleep baby." She said softly.
"Nah. I'm totally fine. I'm Harry fucking Potter!" Jason nodded, the laughing turning into chuckles as he started making a list. "Well I'm already at the school. Don't have the owl though. That'd probably be dinner."
"Mhm you're fine pup I can see that." She said softly and then shook her head. "Let's go back to your dorm, I can stand guard while you sleep again." She said to him.
"Unh-uh. Nope. Not sleeping." Jason shook his head. "Harlow said he was coming here. I'm not sleeping so I can fight him off."
Candi had no idea who Harlow was but she didn't like that he wasn't going to sleep. "and being sleep deprived is going to help you fight him? Is that what you think pup?"
Jason wagged his head. "She said four days. Anyone around me he'll hurt. So gotta stay awake to stay away." It made perfect sense to him.
Candi did not agree with him and just sighed. "but after those days you will sleep?" She asked, wondering if she could tranq him to get to sleep.
"Sure. I'll sleep after a couple more days." Jason finally hopped off the desk, weaving on his feet for a moment before he caught himself. "Whoa. Floor moved."
Candi pinched the bridge of her nose and then looked at him. "Jason you need to sleep now honey." She said and then her eyes widened when he said the floor moved.
"I'm fine. Honest." Jason looked over at Candi. "Totally fine."
"I don't believe to be honest." She said with a frown and then shoved papers into her bag.
"Okay. Don't believe. I'm gonna go run some laps." Jason pushed off the desk, wobbling his way back to the door. The lack of sleep was starting to hit him hard.
Candi finished packing her bag and threw it on her shoulder and then send a text to Cassie and walked over to Jason. "OKay pup enough..." She walked in front of him and lifted his head so he looked her in the eye. "We are going to your dorm room and you are not arguing with me do you understand. go now." She said with a growl and a flash of her golden eyes.
Jason watched her eyes, feeling the power from Alpha surge and he whimpered his agreement. Fuck, she was strong. He stepped back, letting Candi lead.
Candi walked through the school and to the dorms, hoping it wouldn't take Cassie long to meet them in Jason's room. She opened his door and motioned for him to go in, not impressed that he obviously forgot to lock it.
Jason frowned as she so easily opened his door. "I locked that." Huh. Walking in, he sat down in a chair, the bed having quite obviously not been used for sleeping recently.
"I don't think so baby." She said softly and then dumped her bag on the floor and pulled down the blankets down on the bed. "Lay down."
Jason sat on the chair, watching Candi play with the blankets. Now that he was no longer looking in her eyes, he could defy her. "I'm find."
"You're find are you?" She said as she turned around and looked him in the eye. "Pup you get in that bed right now." She said firmly as she pointed at the bed.
"Yup. Find. Fine. Totally good." Jason turned his head away as soon as she looked at him so he couldn't catch her power.
Candi growled at him and crossed her arms. "Jason get in that bed now." Her eyes golden as she pushed her power at him.
Jason whimpered and rose from the chair, falling into the bed. "I'm there."
Candi nodded and then walked over and pulled off his shoes and pulled the blanket up before going to sit in the chair and pulling out her phone, turning off the sound.
"What am I supposed to do now?" Jason lay on his side watching her. He didn't want to sleep even though the dreamcatcher was over head. Wolf knew how to get past it now.
Candi looked at him and sighed ."Baby you need some sleep, you won't do anyone any good if you're like this. I will be here to wake you."
"I don't want to." Jason burrowed into the pillow, still scared to sleep.
"i know you don't want to baby but you have to." She said as she sat on the edge of the bed.
"I don't want to see what he'll do next." Jason raised a tired hand, flipping it at the dreamcatcher. "It stopped working."
Candi frowned at the dreamcatcher and stroked his hair. "I will find out why baby." She said softly.
"Do I have to sleep?" Even though he didn't want to, his body was stressed to the limit. Jason burrowed into the pillow and the blankets, trying to stay awake.
Candi nodded as she rubbed his back. "Yes pup, but I will right here the entire time, I will know if he's there."
"Fine." Jason wasn't happy about it, but now that he was horizontal, he couldn't exactly fight his body's demands. It was damned frustrating.
Candi smiled at him and stroked his hair. "I know you dont want to but you will feel better if you do."
Jason sighed, already falling asleep, though it wasn't restful.
