Who: Maggie and Fox When: Friday early evening Where: Fox's room What: Maggie practices shifting
Maggie: Maggie jumped up from her bed and shut her laptop. She was planning on working on her shifting anyway, because it was part of her daily routine, but it would be fun to practice in front of someone else. She loved shifting, and she liked how excited other people got seeing her walk around as an animal. Of course, shifting required Maggie to get naked first, something she realized, but she didn't stop to think about Fox factoring in until just before she was about to run out the door. She changed out of her clothes and into a robe and slippers. It would make stripping quicker, and Fox could just turn around each time. She then scooted off to his room, knocking quickly when she got there. Fox: Fox didn't think anything about shifting. He's never watched others shift and he didn't know much about it, so he would be deferring to Maggie's judgement quite a bit. Of course, this also meant he didn't expect nudity. "It's open, Maggie," he called out, closing his own laptop. Maggie: Maggie bounded in, bubbly with a big smile like usual and plopped down on Fox's bed. "What's your absolute favorite animal?" she asked. She didn't know if she could do it, but she could at least start working on it. Fox: Okay, seeing her in a robe and slippers was unexpected. Did she not dress at all today? "Um...black panther." He loved how the animals were so sleek and majestic, ferocious elegance. Maggie: "OOH! I can totally do that one!" She hopped up off the bed. "But you have to close your eyes first. Okay? 'Cause I have to take off my robe and stuff. You can open them again after I shift. I won't be able to talk then, but I can nod or shake my head if you ask me questions." Fox: "Wait...you gotta get naked?" Fox sat up a bit straighter. Oh, Charlie was gonna kill him when he found out. There was no if here. That vampire heard everything. Maggie: "Yeah. Otherwise I'd ruin my clothes." She looked at him as though that should have been obvious. Fox: "Ooookay." Fox slapped a hand over his eyes and closed them tightly, waiting for a clue from her so he could look. Maggie: Maggie giggled at Fox. He was being silly. She knew he had fun flirting with her, but she also knew that he was afraid of her Uncle Charlie hurting him if he ever actually tried something. Besides, while Maggie thought Fox was really cute, she had no intention of ever doing anything with him. When his eyes were closed and covered, she opened her robe and let it drop to the ground. Her slippers came off as well, and then Maggie focused with her eyes closed. A few seconds later, muscles and bones moved, fur and whiskers sprouted, and she was on all fours. Black, sleek, and definitely deadly if she wanted to be. She let out a roar to get his attention. Fox: Fox liked Charlie. He liked Maggie. He also liked having his boys attached. It wasn't fear of the vampire that kept him from doing anything, just a healthy respect of their friendship. Most of the time. Maybe a little fear. He was able to hear the material drifting to the floor, and then the crack and snap of bones breaking and shifting. It was enough to make him cringe. No need to see it. At the roar, he opened his eyes. "Fuck me." Maggie: Maggie laughed, but it didn't sound the same coming from the body of the panther. It sounded more like a chirp or even a bark. It was a friendly sound though. She leapt from the floor onto the end of his bed, the springs causing her new form to bounce a little. Once she was steady on her paws, she stalked over to him and nudged his hand with her cold nose. Fox: He scooted back a bit to give Maggie more room, trying to get over the fact that there was a panther in his bed. Fuck. A panther. In his bed. Raising his hand, he hesitantly stroked the bridge of her nose, up between her eyes to the top of her head and her ears. She was warm, silky soft and power just rippled below that fur. Maggie: Maggie's eyes closed as she rubbed her head under his hand, allowing him to stroke the jet black fur. She knew she was very soft and shiny like this. Her grandpa really liked when she shifted into a black panther, and he always told her how pretty she looked like this. She'd seen herself in a few mirrors as well. Maggie sat down on her back legs and then stretched her front ones out over Fox's lap, snuggling up to him. Because she was small for a woman, her panther form was on the small side as well, though still much larger than she was as a human. Fox: "You're gorgeous," Fox murmured, knowing that she probably had more sensitive hearing and didn't need to hear him full-voiced. "I mean, you're gorgeous anyways, but you're gorgeous like this, too...shutting up now." Rolling his eyes at himself, Fox kept petting her, exploring her feel. She was just a giant kitten. With big claws and teeth. Maggie: Maggie 'smiled' at the compliment, which was probably a frightening look, because it showed off those huge teeth. Thankfully, he was right, she was like a giant kitten. She wouldn't ever hurt him just because this animal form gave her a lot of handy weapons. But learning to shift like this was important. It was her first form of defense. And these days, her lessons with Charlie involved her shifting sometimes. He would come after her while she was in her animal forms, and she had to protect herself. It had resulted in a few scratches and bruises for Charlie. Maggie raised her head and licked Fox's face, then she made that chirping noise again. Fox: Fox smiled at the lick, dropping his head to burrow his nose against her fur. Really, when else would he get the chance to cuddle a viscious jungle cat? Might as well make use of it. "Does it hurt? To shift like that?" Maggie: Fox had discovered the appeal that most people did upon seeing Maggie shift. Real big cats didn't let you cuddle them like this, well, maybe if you were some sort of cat whispering expert or Tarzan, but that wasn't the case for most people. But Maggie retained all her own thoughts when she shifted, so she was just as sweet as ever, though also a little bit naughty at times, which Charlie knew all too well. She liked to knock him over and sit on him, licking his face or messing his hair just to be a brat. At Fox's question, she shook her head 'no'. Shapeshifters weren't the same as lycans. Their transformations were rooted in magic, so it was a bit like casting an internal spell. She felt no pain when she shifted. Fox: Fox felt, rather than saw, her answer. "Cool. Good to know. I'd hate to think it caused you pain to look like this." As much as he played at being a jerk, he didn't want people to hurt because of him. Fox wrapped his arms around Maggie, giving her a tight squeeze for a hug. Maggie: Maggie nuzzled into Fox when he hugged her. He was warm and his arms felt nice wrapped around her. Like most animals, she enjoyed the feel of being pet as well. Of course, she also liked when people played with her hair as a human. It felt nice. Fox: Though he hugged her, Fox's hands still stroked over her fur, enjoying this shape. He followed the line of her back down to the base of her tail. Her tail! Raising his head, a childish smile on his face, Fox caught her tail in one hand, wiggling it. Maggie: Maggie 'smiled' again and gave her tail a swing as he tugged at it. It didn't hurt, and it was a bit like a game of keep away as she tried to battle it out with him. When she was free of his grasp, she hopped down and stood in a playful way, daring him to challenge her. Fox: Fox chuckled, letting her go to jump to the floor. "Seriously? You're playing keep away with your tail?" Grinning, he nodded, more than willing to play. Climbing off the bed, he leaned over, trying to use his height for an advantage though he'd never battled a panther before. He started to circle her, waiting for a moment to catch her flipping tail. Maggie: Maggie let Fox circle her, but she had the upper hand in this game. She was much stronger and faster than Fox in this form. She let him get very close to her rapidly twitching tail before she turned on a dime and pounced on him, knocking him to the floor. Her paws pinned down his chest, much like she often did with Charlie, and she licked his face a whole lot, her scratchy tongue torturing him. Fox: Fox grunted as he hit the floor and started laughing when he was pinned. He tried to tickle her stomach, knowing her couldn't reach her tail just then. Were cats even ticklish? Maggie: Maggie didn't know if cats were ticklish, but she was! She let out a weird noise that must have been the panther equivalent to laughing. Rolling off of Fox, she swatted at him with her paws, though the claws were retracted to spare him. Her belly was exposed and just as soft as the rest of her. Fox: "Aha!" Laughing, Fox rolled with her, still tickling all over her stomach. Okay, so maybe her coming over wasn't a bad idea at all. Maggie: Maggie was having a lot of fun playing with Fox. Most of all, she was happy to see that he was enjoying himself. She'd figured this out awhile ago. No one seemed to be upset when around her in a transformed state. It was like they forgot Maggie was a person and just relished the chance to get to play with a super cool animal. Maggie understood, because she was rarely sad when playing with her cat or riding her horse. She wiggled around as Fox tickled her belly and batted at him with her big paws, her tail swishing about. Fox: Slowly raising one hand, his other did double duty, tickling her just as fast. Then, super quick, Fox reached out and caught her tail. "I win!" He grinned, stroking the fur against his cheek and laughing. Maggie: Maggie let Fox have his little victory, playing with her tail as he liked. He was really fun to be around like this. She couldn't remember ever seeing Fox be so playful. It was a nice change. He really had seemed a bit grumpy while they were chatting online, so Maggie felt good knowing that maybe she'd helped cheer him up. She got on all fours again and nudged him toward the bed. Then Maggie walked away, picking up her robe with her teeth so that Fox would know she was going to shift back. Fox: Fox sighed and let go of her tail, getting up and flopping back on the bed. Maggie had taken the robe, so he covered his eyes again and waited. Damn. He'd liked that panther. Maggie: Maggie shifted back into her human form once Fox's eyes were covered. She quickly put her robe back on and then sat on the edge of the bed. "You should come play outside with me sometime!" she said in a delighted tone. "Uncle Charlie likes to try and race me, but I win every time.. especially when I'm in my cheetah form." Fox: Dropping his hand, Fox turned to look at Maggie. "Of course you'd win. You're an effing cheetah! I wouldn't even be ten feet from the starting line before you win." Maggie: Maggie giggled and nodded. "Yeah, but it's not cheating! Is it?" she wasn't sure. "Do you wanna see another animal? My new favorite is a leopard. I like all the spots!" Fox: "Sure." Fox was more than willing to watch whatever Maggie wanted to show him now. She wanted the practice and it didn't hurt, so he would do what he could to help. Maggie: "Cool!" Maggie declared and stood up from the bed again. She waited for Fox to cover his eyes once more before stripping out of her robe and shifting again. This one came much easier to her, because it was the form she seemed to use the most these days. The size and agility of the leopard was ideal for just about everything. Once she was a cat again, she leapt up on the bed for Fox to inspect. Fox: Understanding the pattern, Fox waited for Maggie to get off the bed and closed his eyes. Swish of clothes, crack of bone, squeak of the mattress and open. Turning, he checked out this new beast. "A lot like the panther, but different colors, right?" Maggie: Maggie nodded. The animals were very similar in size and general shape, but she liked the spots. They were so pretty! She didn't like that people killed pretty animals like this for their fur, but it sure did feel nice and look good when wrapped around a person, so she sorta understood the appeal. She got the best of both worlds: able to wear the pretty fur and no animals had to die for it! Fox: Fox reached out to stroke her again, marveling at the similarities. His fingers traces the pattern of spots, twirling the fur in his fingers then smoothing it out once more. Maggie: Maggie nuzzled her furry face into Fox's chest, relishing the feel of his fingers stroking through her fur. It was like getting a massage, or so she guessed, because she'd never actually had one before. Her mom had them sometimes though, and Maggie occasionally got dragged along and was asked to sit quietly while the therapist worked on her mommy's muscles. Fox: Fox lightly scratched her, reaching down under the fur to really pet her. His other hand came up to rub her ears, pulling her more into his lap. He'd never had a pet before, but he was starting to see why people loved them. Maggie: If leopards were capable of purring, Maggie would have been doing just that. It felt wonderful being pet by Fox. Sometimes she wished she could just stay in her animal forms. People seemed to like her better like this. They were calmer and happier in her presence. She rested her head upon her paws as she continued to relax over his lap. Sighing, she closed her eyes and let Fox give her all the attention he wanted and apparently needed. Fox: There was something soothing about having her be all furry in his lap. For some reason, he wasn't as on edge. Worried about maintaining his image. Maggie was Maggie just...big assed cat Maggie. And that suited him just fine. Fox folded himself over her, resting his head on hers while he stroked. Maggie: Maggie's big paws started to knead at his leg. It was a sign of contentment. Since she couldn't talk, she had to find other ways to express herself. She hoped Fox knew that she enjoyed his company and wanted to be good friends with him. Fox: Since he wasn't used to cats, Fox didn't know what that pawing meant. He stopped and leaned back. "Do you want me to stop?" Was that what she was trying to tell him? Maggie: Maggie shook her head as she raised it and nudged his chest for more attention. She was happy, and he should have been able to tell from her posture and the soft little chirp she let out. Fox: "Okay," Fox chuckled. He got the point. "So it's a good thing. Got it." He leaned down again, going back to rubbing her back and sides. Maggie: Maggie wished she could talk while transformed. It was the only downside to shifting. She'd heard of some shapeshifters learning to communicate, but they could never actually talk. The vocal cords of animals were simply not equipped to handle human speech. But, in this case, Fox might not like it all that much. Maggie was a chatty little thing, and this was the most time she'd spent around Fox. Perhaps he liked her better when she was silent. Fox: So many people talked at Fox that they never actually talked to him. Which was why no one really knew him. It was pointless when no one would listen. So he enjoyed the quiet moments. The ones that snuck up and made a person relax. Like now. Maggie: Maggie rested in Fox's lap for a good spell, but all the petting was starting to make her drowsy. It would be bad if she actually fell asleep, because she couldn't maintain her animal form once she lost consciousness. Fox would end up with a naked teenage girl in his lap if she passed out. She got up and stretched out before jumping down off the bed. Another quick stretch, and she grabbed her robe once more as a cue to Fox. Fox: Fox was confused when Maggie leapt off his lap. Did he do something wrong? Watching her grab for her robe, he'd already closed his eyes for her to shift. Maggie: Maggie quickly put the robe back on once she had shifted into her human form again. She came over and sat beside Fox. "Sorry, but you were making me sleepy!" she said brightly. "I can't maintain animal forms unless I'm awake," she clarified. Fox: At first Fox frowned, not seeing the problem. Then it hit. A naked Maggie in a slut's lap. Not a good combo. "Right. Yeah. Getting dressed was probably a good idea." Maggie: Maggie chuckled and her cheeks flushed ever so slightly. "I didn't know you were a cat person." Fox: Fox smiled, chuckling with her. "I didn't either. I've never had a pet. Can't keep one on a bike." Maggie: "Maybe you should get one!" Maggie suggested. She loved having pets and couldn't imagine a life without them. "They make everything better. You can tell them all your secrets, cuddle with them for hours, cry into their fur, or just be silly around them. They love you no matter what." Fox: Fox shook his head. He didn't want to have to deal with a pet when he left. A motorcyle wasn't good living for an animal. Maggie: "Why not? They're so great! And it seems like you're good with animals." Granted, Maggie wasn't really a pet, but Fox was gentle and fun and sweet while she was transformed. He'd probably be the same with a cat or dog. Fox: "I travel a lot. Live on a bike, remember?" Fox shrugged, already knowing the reaction he was going to get. Maggie: "Uncle Charlie has a bike too. And a dog." But Charlie didn't travel as much. Then again, neither did Fox. He'd stayed put, for the most part, since the day Maggie met him. Fox: "And Charlie's a bit different from me, Maggie." Charlie didn't travel anymore. Fox had plans to leave as soon as summer hit, if not before. He didn't intend to come back next year. Maggie: Maggie shrugged, "I don't know. I think you're like him in some ways." Fox: "Maybe. But he's settled down. I haven't." Fox had the feeling that they could go around and around and never agree. Maggie: Maggie sighed and got to her feet. "Yeah, yeah." She knew about Fox's plans to leave. It seemed nothing, especially not the possibility of happiness, was going to change his mind. Fox: And there went another person upset with him. Fox was starting to get immune to it. People were always unhappy with him. "Thanks. For showing me." Maggie: "Sure. It's good practice for me, and it seemed to cheer you up.. even if only for a little while." She slid her feet back into her slippers and made sure the belt on her robe was plenty secure. "We usually meet at 9:30 on Sunday mornings.. if you change your mind about having breakfast with us." Fox: Fox nodded at the open invitation, knowing that he probably wouldn't show. It was nice to know that someone wanted his company without really expecting anything from him. "Thanks, Mags." Maggie: She nodded with a soft smile. Maggie walked back toward him and offered him a hug. "We should go for a run outside sometime when it's warmer. You can try to keep up." Fox: Fox gave her a hug in return. "Stay on two legs and you'll be the one trying to keep up," he threw back. Even in the cold, Fox still ran every day. Couldn't let a body like his go to pot. Maggie: "How about I use four legs and run slow?" she asked as she pulled back. She didn't want to lose! Fox: "Two legs," Fox insisted, letting her go and still sitting on his bed. He watched her head for the door. "Tell Charlie Fox: "Two legs," Fox insisted, letting her go and still sitting on his bed. He watched her head for the door. "Tell Charlie I said hey when you talk to him." Maggie: "You're so mean!" she said with a forced pout. "I might never let you play with the kitty again." She stuck her tongue out as she headed for the door, checking that her keys were still in the pocket of her robe. "Yeah, I'll tell him." Fox: "Now who's being mean? I was just being fair!" Fox laughed and then pointed at her, about to say something highly inappropriate about that tongue. He snapped his mouth shut rather quickly. "Thanks. I'll see you around." Maggie: Maggie gave a little waive and headed out the door. She hoped Fox would seriously consider joining them for breakfast this weekend, but she doubted he'd show up. He just seemed set on being a 'loner.'
