Who: Trevor and Cassidy What: Meeting Where: Trevor, Adam and Rez's apartment When: Noonish
Cassidy had never been to Adam's apartment before. And she wasn't sure why she was going there now other than the fact that she had absolutely no other friends aside from him and Ari. And since Ari was off doing what Ari did and being an asshole, that left only Adam. He was also an asshole most of the time but he kinda had a point. She never just asked him how he was or came to him with no hidden, or usually not so hidden, motive. So it was her intention today to just show up, see if he wanted to hang out, maybe see this lizard he was always talking about and just... find out what was going on in his life. That's what friends did, right? She probably should have called first, but she didn't. It had been a spur of the moment decision while she was out wandering around town and she was already at the building before she even thought about calling ahead so she just went ahead and went up, knocking on the door after a slight bit of hesitation on her part since things rarely ever turned out well when she and Adam spoke these days.
Trevor had been asleep for most of the day, just because he felt like being that lazy. When he did get up he noticed no one was home, which was awesome. So he crawled into the shower, planning on laying on the couch and watching movies until his brother and uncle came home. He had just finished up and gotten dressed when he heard a knock on the door. Trevor made his way to the door, not bothering with shoes and opened it, he was surprised to see a hot teenage girl standing there. "Hey, can I help you?"
The last thing Cassidy had expected was for someone who wasn't Adam or Rez to answer the door. And she certainly hadn't expected a really attactive guy who was still a bit damp from what she presumed was a shower. "Uhm... I was looking for Adam?" She glanced at the number on the door. It was the apartment number listed in the campus directory. Maybe she got the wrong building. "Do I have the right place?"
Trevor smiled at the girl and nodded. "Yeah Adam is my little brother, he and Rez went out somewhere but you're welcome to come in and wait for him if you want." He motioned her inside. "I was just going to watch movies if you wanted to join me. I think there's left over pizza from last night if you're hungry."
"Oh." Cassidy paused, thinking for a moment. "Trevor, right?" She thought that was what Adam had said his name was. "I didn't know you were in town." Then again, she never asked Adam about his life, only bitched about her own. Of course the last time she had tried to find out more about his life, he'd jumped down her throat so.. it was kind of a no-win situation. "Uhm... okay. Sure." She had nothing better to do, so Cassidy followed him inside and to the living room to have a seat. "Do you have anything to drink?" She asked. Walking made her thirsty but she wasn't all that hungry just now.
Trevor shut the door behind her and then headed into the apartment. "Yep that's me." Trevor said as he smiled at her. "And you're Cassidy i assume." He said as he headed for the kitchen. "Sure do you want coke, water, juice?" He asked as he stared into the fridge. "Adam didn't know you were coming here did he?" Trevor asked, knowing his brother would probably lose his shit to find out that Trevor had been alone with Cassidy.
"He told you about me?" That was a bit surprising. Cassidy was fairly certain that Adam hated her so why he would tell his brother about her was beyond her. Of course it could have been Rez that mentioned her. He didn't seem to like her much either. "Coke's good." Too bad he didn't have any booze, not that it ever did her much good. She'd have to drink a whole bottle just to feel anything at all. That was one of the things that sucked so hardcore about her race. "No. I just.. I was out walking around town and just figured I'd stop by and see if he was busy." She shrugged a little.
Trevor shrugged at the question as he brought out two large glasses of coke, set them on the coffee table and then headed back to the kitchen to throw popcorn in the microwave. "Not exactly but I knew there was some girl, and my uncle said your name and it didn't take much to figure it out. I might be blonde but I gots brains left in here somewhere." He said with a smirk before flipping through the movie channels from something interesting. "Ah well he will probably still be pissy about it but I just ignore it."
"Oh, right." Of course it was Rez. Thinking that Adam actually gave enough of a shit to talk anything other than trash about her was just dumb. She laughed a little at his joke and then retorted, "That makes one of us at least." She gave a small shrug of her shoulders and then frowned as he took a seat next to her on the sofa. "He'll be pissed that I'm here more than anything, probably. I don't think he likes me all that much but.. whatever. This whole town fucking sucks anyway."
He looked at the girl when she seemed irritated and then smiled at her laugh, she had a sexy laugh. "He probably will be pissed, Adam...Adam just gets so angry so fast lately, he never used to be like that." He bit his lip and then left the tv on Pirates of the Caribbean when he turned to look at her. "You know I've started to realize this places sucks. What do you do around here anyways?"
"Really? Because he's been like that ever since I first met him." Cassidy glanced over at him and then she frowned a little. "Sorry. I probably shouldn't like.. say bad things about your brother to you or whatever. I just.. I guess I just don't get him. He was so nice for like.. two seconds and then..." She rolled her eyes. It probably had more to do with Ari than it did with her, really. But then again, he still hung out with Ari but barely even talked to her. Point in fact, she wasn't sure what the fuck she was even doing here. "Nothing. There's nothing to do." Cassidy gave a small shrug of her shoulders. "Adam and I went to the mall once and Ari and I.. broke in my aunt and uncle's house and vandalized it then got fucked up in the park and made out. That's pretty much the most exciting thing that's happened since I've been here."
Trevor smirked at her words and then shrugged. "It's okay I won't tell him...I don't know, I love Adam but whatever is going on in his head is making him a little...unpredictable. It will work out hopefully." He said and then looked at her with a frown. "Yeah there kinda is nothing do to around here but get high, drink and have sex." Trevor said with exasperation. "I could skate but I just don't have the love for it Adam and Rez do."
"He's angry," Cassidy said simply. "I don't know.. at who or what or why but... he's just angry." That was the best she could guess from her interactions with him. "It's still really cool that your uncle is famous though, even if he is kind of a buzzkill." She smirked looking over at him. "And I can't really get drunk or high." She frowned and shrugged a little. "Part fae. Kinda makes me pretty much immune to everything. But hey, I can get other people high for free." She laughed softly.
Trevor nodded as he glanced at the television. "yeah he is but I'm sure he's got his reasons." He groaned when she said it was nice the Rez was famous. "I guess I mean it's nice that he's rich and all and i thought he was cool when i was a kid but we got our problems now." Trevor shrugged and then widened his eyes at Cassidy. "That fucking sucks!" He sat up a bit and then tilted his head at her. "How do you get people high?"
"Don't we all," Cassidy replied simply. She was angry more than she should have been, especially here lately. But she had just broken up with her boyfriend so that probably had a lot to do with it even though she kept telling herself she was better off without Ari for a boyfriend since he was such a jerk anyway. "I've seen some of his videos. He was really good." She shrugged a little. "I couldn't do what he did anyway." Though she could hardly walk and chew gum at the same time. "Faerie dust?" Cassidy said, as though he was kind of dumb for not knowing that in the first place. "It's like.. a pretty heavy duty narcotic."
"He was really good, the fucking best but shit went down and he ended up fucked up so you know it happens." Trevor chewed on his lip and suddenly had an urge to apologize to his uncle but he left his phone in his pocket and looked at the pretty girl instead. "I can but...I don't care about it like he did." Trevor said with a shrug and then scrunched his nose at Cassidy. "Hey, I'm just a newbie with all this shit, I don't know dick all about anything other than shifters." He said, irritated and then lifted an eyebrow in interest "Oh...that's....handy..." Trevor said with a slight smirk.
"At least he got to be the best at something for a while," Cassidy shrugged slightly. "We don't all get to say that." She couldn't say she was the best at anything. Honestly, she had no real talents. She just... existed. And that was pretty much all there was to it. It sounded sad and pathetic but maybe that's exactly what she was. Ugh, she fucking hated it when she got this way! "Then you should take a class. These are good things to know, ya know?" She smirked at him. "And my boyfriend likes it. Er.. ex-boyfriend."
Trevor nodded and then stretched. "No we don't, fuck knows I don't get to say it...ever." He rolled his eyes at her and then laughed. "Like I want to take more schooling. What we have to take around here is enough, I'm sure my uncle or someone else who is oh so knowledgeable like you could just tell me." He smirked and then frowned slightly. "Your ex-boyfriend huh...pretty recent I assume." Trevor had no use for girlfriends, but he understood that shit could hurt.
"Don't worry about it, I don't either." Cassidy pursed her lips slightly and thought about it. "I'm good at pissing people off, apparently. And I don't even try so.. I guess if I actually tried, I could be a fucking master at it." She laughed. "Oh, like your uncle would tell you that faeries give good drug." She rolled her eyes. "Please!" She frowned just a bit and nodded her head. "Like.. Monday." She laughed a little. "But he still shows up in my room almost every night and crawls in bed with me and gropes my boobs while he sleeps so..." She shrugged slightly. "I think maybe I just suck at being a girlfriend or.. whatever."
Trevor laughed at her and picked up his coke to take a sip. "Now that's an actual talent right there." He smirked and then shook his head. "yeah no, I'm a addict so I don't think my uncle would even let me near cough syrup right now." Trevor sucked down half his glass and then frowned at her. "I'm sorry that has to suck...he sounds like a real winner though." Trevor didn't really think that badly of the kid, he would do it too if the girl let him get away with it. "Nah I don't think you're the one that sucks in that relationship."
Cassidy laughed, sipping her own coke and shrugging. "Yeah, well.. it's got me far in life." She rolled her eyes. It got her mouth busted more than once and the crap beat out of her more than a few times but... fucker didn't manage to break her so that was something. "Oh," she said quietly. "So.. I'm probably like.. a bad idea all around, huh?" She gave a shrug of her shoulders at the comment about the relationship. "I let him get away with it so.. whatever. I think we only even got together because of the whole... illness thing." She smirked. "Near death will do some strange things to a person."
Trevor snorted and then frowned. "I think I put popcorn in the microwave...meh oh well." He looked at Cassidy for a second and then shook his head. "What do you mean?" He asked when she said she was a bad idea. "Yeah near death really can do shit to people. I mean I wasnt here for the illness thing but I bet it was fucking traumatic."
"You did," Cassidy said. "It's done, by the way." She gave a small shrug of her shoulders. "And I'm a bad idea because I'm like a walking drug and you're an addict?" It seemed like common sense to her. "Traumatic is a word for it." She frowned as she added, "I thought I was gonna die and... and Adam and Ari were both gonna die too."
Trevor got up and ran into the kitchen to grab the popcorn and then headed back into the living room. "oh...yeah i guess so, if i cared about not being an addict." Which was the sad truth, Trevor really didn't want to give up drugs and alcohol, they made shit go away and make him feel better about everything going on. "I wish I had been here for him...so much shit I feel bad for." He frowned and then shoved popcorn in his mouth, chewing and swallowing. "But whatever it's over now."
"You don't care?" Not that it was any of her business. If he wanted to stay strung out every day of his life, that was his business, but she knew how his uncle would feel about it. And his brother too, probably. "Like your dad?" She asked, holding nothing back. "He told me. Sort of." She gave a small shrug of her shoulders. "My uncle beat the shit out of me too. And my aunt just stood around and watched." She scoffed. "People are assholes. I wish I could get high."
Trevor narrowed his eyes at her and then shrugged. "I like being high...not thinking about my shit." Trevor finished off his coke before he spoke. "I'm not like my dad." He said grumpily and then his eyes changed when Cassidy said her uncle beat her. In Trevor's world you did not hurt women or children and Cassidy and previously Adam fell into those categories. A growl escaped his throat and then he calmed himself. "What happened to that dick?" He asked with a frown and then widened his eyes. "You can't get high either? That is shitty."
"Nothing," Cassidy scoffed. "Ari said he was going to take care of it but.. that never happened. He says a lot of things though." And Trevor would probably lose his shit if he knew what Adam had done to her but she didn't bother to bring that up. It was just as much her fault as anyones. She'd pushed when it was none of her business and she deserved it. "I don't think I can. I mean... I haven't actually ever tried." Other than trying to snort her own dust once which of course did nothing at all.
Trevor growled again and then threw some popcorn into his mouth. "I should go eat him." He said seriously as he looked at the movie for a little while, glancing at Cassidy when she spoke and then frowned. "I'm not going to tell you that you should try either, it's a stupid thing to do. I wouldn't have if I had a choice really."
"I wouldn't complain if you did," Cassidy said with a shrug. "He was a total dickhead pervert who used to get wood from bending me over his knee and spanking my ass so..." She rolled her eyes. "And my aunt's a total cunt too. She'd just wring her hands and talk about jesus when all this shie was going on." In her opinion, any woman who sat back and watched that shit happen was just as much to blame, but Adam didn't agree on that front. He took up for his mom all the time. "I'm kinda scared to, honestly. I think... if it worked and it made me feel... nothing for a while then I might not wanna stop."
Trevor grinned at the idea of eating her uncle, he ate one man already and he liked the taste. He chewed on his lip and then glanced at her when she started talking about her aunt. For a long time Trevor did agree with Adam but he found out just how much his mom didn't appreciate him stepping in and trying to protect her from their father and it just set him off. He couldn't understand why she wanted to be a punching bag or why she defended him for hitting them all. It left a bad taste in Trevor's mouth. "Sounds like they fucking deserve each other." He said with a snarl and then flicked a piece of popcorn off of himself. "You wouldn't want to stop if it worked...but you need more and more just to be high for a little while." He said quietly.
"Definitely," Cassidy agreed in a soft voice. A frown pursed her lips because thinking about them always put her into a bit of a funk but she did her best to shake it off. "At least I'd never have to pay for it," she shrugged. "I could just work it out in trade. Dust for... I dunno, something other than dust." She exhaled a soft laugh. And then a thought crossed her mind suddenly and she asked, "What time is it?"
Trevor just watched her as she worked through it on her own, and then smirked when she started talking about drugs again. "Hey I'd take the trade if I had the drugs...you know if your dust is that good." When Cassidy asked about the time, Trevor picked up his phone and held it in front of her so she could see the time.
Cassidy quirked a brow slightly. "Hmm.. I dunno about that. I mean.. your brother and uncle already dislike me enough. I don't think I need to add to it." Besides, it was weird for her, sharing that part of herself. She'd actually only ever let Ari try it because, well, he was Ari and she was stupid crazy about him even though she tried not to be but still, it was strange. But she didn't want to admit that. "Fuck," she chugged the rest of her Coke and then moved to her feet. "I have to go. I've got.. tons to get done before tonight so..." She paused. "Tell Adam I stopped by, if you want. I mean he might smell me anyway so.." She shrugged. "It was nice meeting you."
Trevor shrugged and shook his hair out of his eyes. "It's not like I should do it I know that, and whatever you don't need to please them." He acted like he didn't give a shit about his uncle and brother but of course he did. He watched as the girl suddenly couldn't get out of there fast enough. Trevor stood up to walk her to the door and nodded. "yeah I will tell him, he will definitely smell you here I'm sure." He opened the door for her and smiled. "it was nice to meet you to. See you later."
Cassidy wasn't making excuses to leave. It was getting late and she still needed to go find a dress to wear to the dance that night since she was supposed to be going with Ari. Or at least she thought she was supposed to be going with Ari. Either way, she needed a dress and had to do all the pre-dance primping and stuff so she really did have to go. "Yeah, see you around."
