Friday 9/14/07
Who: Adora and Blake Elliot
When: Friday evening, dinner
Where: The Dining Hall
What: Adora prepares to leave on an errand of necessity and meets someone new
Adora really hated this whole needing two sources of food to survive thing sometimes. While she had lived with it for over two hundred years and it wasn't necessarily a completely foreign concept to her, it was just simply frustrating. It was never easy to balance out her need for actual food and water with her need for sexual energy, but at least she'd been able to get a good solid meal out of Heath Jao the day before. It certainly helped that he had the stamina for it. That being said, she hadn't actually eaten all this Friday, as she'd still be riding that satisfied high from the day before. By dinner time, though, she was starving, realizing that she still had a plane to catch in three hours so that she could meet with James McCafferty's stepfather and hopefully secure a nice bundle of cash for the school.
So, it was the fact that even though she was starving, the food hardly looked appealing, and Adora sighed as she plopped down at a table alone, certainly not in the mood to talk. She swore that if she saw Nox or Olivia, she might be liable to gouge their eyes out, so she made sure she wasn't actually sitting near them. Nox probably took that as a blessing, the romantic ass, and Adora found herself stabbing whatever sort of mashed potato conglomerate was on her place as she thought dark thoughts.
She just couldn't understand it. How in the hell could anyone not want her? Was she losing her touch? She would have thought it was just Nox playing hard to get except for the fact that Eli Eden had been able to act as though she was nothing. There was nothing more damaging to a succubus than the thought that she would be unable to procure the food she needed to survive. Students were hardly as fulfilling as grown men... and it was beginning to terrify her.
Did that mean Adora had a heart? Did she recognize the signs that she was possibly more attached to this one individual than she let on? It was impossible with her to even know what love really was, so she had no idea.
