Who: Lupe and Nox When: Evening Where: Around campus What: Nox is playing tour guide! Note: INCOMPLETE
Nox had experience with aggressively flirtatious succubi. Adora tested his patience and resistance regularly. So he felt confident he would be able to resist Lupe. He knocked on her door and waited patiently. ~~~ Nox may have dealt with aggressively flirtatious succubi before, but that didn't mean that Lupe was one. She'd done her own little bit of research on the professor from the boards before messaging him. He was newlywed to an elemental with a baby on the way. Someone had posted wedding photos and Nox, while not Adonis, was definitely more than average. Grinning, she sauntered to the door, opening it. "Hola, profesor," she said in fluid Spanish. Her jeans were slung low on her hips with a braided belt, and she wore a bright green belly shirt over a black long-sleeved shirt. ~~~ Nox smiled politely. "Good evening, Lupe. It's a pleasure to meet you." He held out his hand. ~~~ Lupe took his hand in a firm grip. Nothing worse than a limp-noodle handshake, as Americans said. "My pleasure, senor." Taking a moment, she looked him over, as though assessing. "I think you do yourself a grave disservice." ~~~ Nox gave a little nod of his head. "Thank you. You're an attractive woman, and it's always nice to be complimented by a fair lady." ~~~ Grabbing her jacket, she shut the door behind her, not bothering to lock it. "You've proven you're good-looking. Now let's see if you know your way around," she teased. ~~~ "That I do. I've been a professor here for years and briefly served as interim director." ~~~ Lupe stood next to Nox. Something about him said that obvious flirting would only be a turn-off. Sublety was key here. "Then you can show me all the good places, si?" ~~~ "I can and will," he informed her, holding out his arm as a proper escort should. ~~~ Lupe's smile brightened as she took his arm. A gentleman! How sexy. She let him guide her down the hall. "So how did you know where to find me?" ~~~ "I told you, I keep tabs on the newcomers. Mostly for the sake of security. I worked in law enforcement in the past." ~~~ "And now you are profesor, si? Why do security job, too?" Her accent was thick and her English broken. Kennedy had been teaching her for several years, but it was still a confusing language! ~~~ Her accent didn't bother Nox, who was actually fluent in Spanish and several other languages. "I suppose it's hard for me to let go of my old ways." ~~~ "Is good habit. Can never be too safe." Lupe glanced around, working to memorize their path and the locations of various buildings that she had no clue what was inside. ~~~ "How did you decide to become a professor?" he asked, trying to make polite conversation. ~~~ "No one was hiring dancers. Kenny heard about this place, and so we came. He say he could teach here, and so could I." Lupe's answer was a bit distracted, but she was trying to maneuver through the cold. How the hell did people live up here? ~~~ "Ah, you're a dancer. That's wonderful. I enjoy ballet," he commented. ~~~ Lupe looked up at him. "Not that type of dancing." ~~~ He nodded politely, "I understand, though all dancing involves skilled movement, grace and passion." ~~~ "You just prefer the more refined dances, si?" He seemed like the sort of man who would go to the opera, watch a ballet, a documentary on grass growing. ~~~ "I do. I've taken Belle to the ballet, and we both enjoyed it." ~~~ "Ah." Lupe wasn't quite sure how to segue from that topic in English, so she instead starting looking around. Finally, she paused, confused. "Where are we?" ~~~ "The stables are just ahead," he pointed them out and in the distance some horses could be seen. ~~~ "Stables?" She glanced up with excitment, having never ridden a horse before. ~~~ "Do you enjoy riding?" he asked, walking her toward the large barn. ~~~ "I don't know." She followed. Well, led more like, walking just faster than he was and tugging on his arm. Already she could smell the leather and musk from saddles and horses. ~~~ Nox noticed and couldn't help smiling. "I take it that means you've never tried. I should warn you, horses are often skittish around me." ~~~ Lupe frowned, glancing back at him. She knew he was a demon, but not what kind. Did horses not like demons? "Porque?" ~~~ "I make them nervous. They smell the difference. I believe it's related to the fact that I was actually born and raised in Hell." ~~~ Lupe glanced longingly over her shoulder at the horses she could hear nickering in the stalls. She wouldn't go, though. Not right now. That would be rude to Nox. "You should tell me about it. I've never been." ~~~ "It's not easy to describe. I'd offer to take you, but I have no intention of returning." He noted how she still wanted to see the horses. "Go on, I'm comfortable waiting." ~~~ Lupe shook her head. "No. I won't be rude. Another time, I will see them." ~~~ Nox gave her a nudge, "I honestly don't mind. Go see them at the very least." ~~~ Grinning, Lupe hopped in place. "Gracias!" She dashed off to greet the horses. If Nox was listening, he'd hear her coo and greet them in soft, melodic Spanish. She kept her visit short, much shorter than she wanted, but five minutes later she was walking back out to Nox. ~~~ He chuckled listening to her speak to the horses like they were infants. When she returned, he was still smiling. "I should mention, I'm fluent in Spanish. I'd hate for you to think I can't understand you." And say something meant to be private. ~~~ "Good to know. But then you help me practical my English?" Lupe frowned as soon as she said it. It was wrong, she knew that, but what part and how was it supposed to be fixed? ~~~ "I will help you practice your English," he corrected gently so as not to discourage her. "I teach Latin." ~~~ "Practice," she huffed under her breath. Silly English sounds. "So you speak, Espagnol, English and Latin fluently?" ~~~ "Italian as well, a bit of French, and I'm learning Mandarin." ~~~ "A man with a fluid tongue." Lupe smiled, making sure there was just enough innocence in the look so that Nox wouldn't know if what she said was deliberate, or another accident. ~~~ Nox wasn't ignorant to the suggestive undertone, though subtle. "Indeed," he answered just as subtly. ~~~ Oh she definitely liked this man. She had a feeling that it would take work and possibly wouldn't happen, but if she could get him into bed, chances are they would burn up the sheets. Assuming they made it to the bed. Changing topics, she bounced once more. "Where to now?" ~~~ "Anywhere you'd like. I spend much of my time at the rec center. I coach basketball and football." ~~~ "I don't know what's here. Show me the good places." ~~~ "I'll take you there. It has a dance studio you might enjoy." He headed in that direction, continuing to offer his arm. ~~~ "Good." She tucked her hand into his arm again, letting him lead. ~~~ Nox escorted her into the rec building and showed her directly to the dance studio. He flipped on the lights, as the place was empty. "Snoop around. ~~~ The first place she went was to the stereo system, looking at the set up and then the music selection. All very classical, nothing that really fit her style. Wait! There was one cd with a few decent latin pieces. At least it was a start. Setting the discs back down, she started looking over the room. Great space, mirrored walls. "Bueno." ~~~ Nox watched her mess with the music. "Go ahead and play something if you'd like." ~~~ "My dancing isn't your style." If Nox preferred ballet, he probably wouldn't like the way she danced. Shame. She enjoyed private performances. ~~~ "Are you shy?" he teased. "I like many kinds of dancing." ~~~ Lupe glanced back at him. "I'm succubus. Not shy." Turning back to the stereo, she programmed a couple pieces she already had a routine planned and moved to the middle of the room. The salsa wasn't best done alone, but it was passable. ~~~ Nox actually knew how to salsa, but he watched her. She'd clearly made assumptions about him. ~~~ She enjoyed being surprised, but everyone made judgements and assumptions. At least she didn't deny hers. The track ended and Lupe paused, shaking out her limbs and getting into position. It was a similar song, but a completely different dance. Bellydancing. She knew how to shimmy, twist and flick her hips and wrists to punctuate the music and roll her stomach. This was why she was popular back home. ~~~ Nox did NOT know how to belly dance. It was impressive. The control she had over her hips and abdomen was unique. "You're quite good.” ~~~ "Gracias," Lupe smiled, just short of breath. She'd missed a good workout and while she'd only gotten warmed up, she would be coming here frequently. With suitable music. The cd was still playing, so she moved to turn it off. ~~~ Nox stopped her by grabbing her hand and spinning her around with great skill. "I know more than ballet." ~~~ Laughing softly, she spun into his arms, automatically taking up the position. "What else do you know then. I'd enjoy to hear." ~~~ "I'm trained in ballroom dancing, including Latin." His hold was quite good, and he moved with grace. ~~~ "Fluid tongue, good with your hands," she murmured. Full of surprises this one was. Lupe let him lead, wondering what exactly he knew. "Do you practice often?" ~~~ "Not often. Belle isn't much of a dancer." He spun Lupe again before pulling her close once more. ~~~ He spun her close enough that Lupe instinctively lifted her leg to just outside his hip. "I wouldn't mind a practice partner." ~~~ Nox raised an eyebrow, but he didn't object to the move. It was a natural part of the dance. "I'd be happy to help." ~~~ "You know salsa, si? Samba? Tango? or others?" She dropped her leg, getting back into the footwork. ~~~ "I do, though I don't know that I can keep up with you." ~~~ "I think you're doing just fine." ~~~ "Thank you," he said with a little nod of his head as he move her around the floor. ~~~ "I can always help teach. Good partners are hard to find." ~~~ "Is your husband not a good partner?" ~~~ "What do you know about my husband?" Lupe took an opportunity to slide her foot along his calf. ~~~ "Only that you have one and he's teaching here as well." ~~~ So Nox took the time to check out her, but not her husband? Lupe was definitely flattered. "He's an angel." ~~~ "I see. I dated an angel for several months. It was.. challenging." That was putting it politely. ~~~ "Si," she agreed. ~~~ Nox was curious about how they made it work, but he didn't know if he should pry, so he kept quiet. ~~~ She could see that he had questions, but she would wait until he decided to ask. ~~~ "I think all supernatural relationships have their difficulties." ~~~ "That they do." The song was coming to a close, but she remained where she was for the moment. ~~~ "I found it was too difficult to be with Olivia," he paused, "Physically." ~~~ Lupe nodded. "Si. I can understand that problem." It was probably one of the reasons she and Kennedy hadn't consummated their relationship. Well, that and it was a marraige of convenience, not love. ~~~ Lupe didn't offer much in reply. Nox couldn't tell if she and her husband had figured out a way around the issue, or if something wasn't there in their relationship. The only way to know was to ask. "Does that mean you haven't had that particular problem?" ~~~ "You were subtle before," Lupe teased. "Now you're being obvious." Still she didn't answer his question. The track finished, silence filling the room for a moment before another started. ~~~ Nox nodded with a slight look of embarrassment. "Forgive me. It's none of my business." ~~~ "It's not, but you asked anyways." She smiled, not at all offended. "Do you still wish to know the answer?" Lupe would hate to have him think his embarrassment was for no reason. Well, not really, but he was being nice. ~~~ He shook his head. "I shouldn't have asked, and it's no longer an issue for me, so there's no real need for me to know." ~~~ Lupe wondered if Nox realized he was still holding her hand, his hand on her back holding her close in the same position as when they stopped a moment ago. She doubted it and did not intend to point it out. "Maybe not. But you are curious, si?" ~~~ "Of course I'm curious. Curiosity is what drive me to continue learning." He really didn't notice the closeness because it felt perfectly natural given they'd been dancing, and succubi did have a way about them. ~~~ Her hand was still at his shoulder, so Lupe let her fingers do a little subtle exploring, feeling out the muscles beneath his shirt. ¡Dios mío! The man was built. "Then ask again." ~~~ Nox shook his head and pulled away when she began to touch him like that. It got his attention, definitely, and that was a bad thing. ~~~ "No?" Lupe let him pull back. This man would definitely be a challenge if she wanted to persue him. ~~~ "As I said, it's no longer an issue for me. I don't need this knowledge." ~~~ Lupe shrugged. "Alright." ~~~ "Would you like to see more of the rec center?" They needed a change of scenery. ~~~ "Si. Thank you." Lupe stepped back, giving him some room since he seemed to want it. ~~~ Nox was still a gentleman, so he offered his arm as before. "I'll show you where I spend much of my free time." ~~~ She was a bit surprised that he was willing to get back close to her so soon. "Gracias," she smiled, taking his arm and untucking her shirt so she could be led around. ~~~ Nox took her to the basketball court next. It was empty as well. Apparently the students on campus had better things to do. "I love to play." ~~~ "You've given me time. Would you like to play for a bit?" Lupe couldn't dribble to save her life, but if Nox wanted some time, she would wait and watch. ~~~ "Have you ever played?" he asked, loosening his tie and taking it off. A second later he pulled off his suit jacket and rolled up his shirt sleeves. ~~~ "No, senor." Lupe was right. This guy was built. And his arms? Yum. ~~~ "I could show you," he offered politely as he set his tie and jacket on a bench and grabbed a ball. ~~~ "I'll watch this time, if you don't mind? Let me see first and then you can teach me." ~~~ Nox nodded. "You still have to play to learn, but if you'd rather watch, that's fine." He had a feeling she was worried about embarrassing herself. Nox was a very good player. Not professional by any means, but he could beat just about any average man. He quickly did a layup, making it all look easy. ~~~ Lupe didn't care about embarrassing herself. She knew she'd be able to manipulate the game so that she and Nox were pressed close together once more. He'd made it clear once already that he'd had enough, so she was respecting that. Plus, it gave her a great opportunity to really check him out. ~~~ "So what do you do beyond dancing?" he asked as he lazily shot several jumping three pointers in a row. ~~~ "What do you mean?" She didn't fully understand the question. ~~~ "You must have other passions. I enjoy art." Few people were entirely devoted to a single passion. It was good to partake in a lot of activities. ~~~ "Si. I have passions." She left it at that. Lupe knew she was good at two things dance and sex. It was handy both were hobbies she enjoyed. ~~~ "Care to share?" he asked, before moving back for a half court shot. Every single one went in without touching the rim. Being a demon did help, but it also too practice and skill. ~~~ "You already know both." ~~~ Nox fetched the ball and walked over to her. "Really? Nothing else?" ~~~ Lupe didn't want to explain herself, that she'd spent half of her life making sure that she would be able to eat, and doing so meant seduction. While dance was a passion, it was her livelihood for the longest time. ~~~ Nox felt pity for a moment. Then he tossed the ball to her. "Come on. It's your turn." ~~~ Lupe barely managed to catch the ball, grateful for fast reflexes. "My turn?" ~~~"Yes. I'll help you." He motioned for her to get up and come toward him. ~~~It seemed as though Nox was willing to put himself into the position Lupe wanted him to be in. As long as it was his choice. Smiling, she stood, walking over to him and holding the ball out. ~~~He pulled her over so she was at the free throw line and pointed her toward the goal, standing behind her. "It's been said many times in sports, but that's because it's true. Follow through. Even once the ball leaves your hands, make them continue forward. It's about momentum." ~~~Lupe frowned at the ball and then at the tiny net several feet higher than her. She was supposed to get it there? Right. ~~~"Here," he offered, putting his hands over hers to get the aim just right. Then he helped her shoot it. It went in! "See? Not so hard." ~~~Lupe grinned and laughed. "Si! I want to try again!" ~~~"You want to try it alone this time?" he asked, smiling at her excitement. ~~~"Si, por favor." The ball was rolling back to her feet, so Lupe dashed ahead to catch it, running back to the line. She made sure to stand in the same place, positions her hands, and through the ball. It sailed through the air, and kept going right under the net. ~~~"Very close!" he said encouragingly. Nox jogged over to get the ball this time and dribbled it back, before handing it over. "Aim just slightly higher this time, and you'll have it." ~~~Lupe nodded, taking the ball back with a soft thank you. Licking her lips, she glared at the hoop in challenge. Hands were positioned, the ball was thrown and it bounced off the rim, coming right back to her. Lupe did the only thing she could in the circumstances. She squealed. ~~~Nox chuckled. He thought she was doing well for never having played before. "Just slightly higher still. You almost have it." He fetched the ball again and gave it back to her. ~~~Lupe was starting to get annoyed with that damned ball. Apparently it only liked her when Nox was behind her. On second thought, she really liked that ball. Holding it in both hands, she threw it harder, forgetting her aim. Right under the net again. ~~~"It's okay," he assured her, getting the ball and taking her cue without realizing it. He came behind her once more to help. ~~~She was growling softly, muttering under her breath in rapid Spanish. No curses, just a lot of threats to the stupid orange ball. ~~~Nox helped her shoot the ball once again, making sure it went in to inspire confidence.
