Frankie nodded. "Our mother abandoned me right after I was born. Papa found me and adopted me. He and mama had Vinnie and Sal a few years later." It was a very clinical way of explaining, because Frankie was trying not to get emotional as she often did when discussing how she came to be a Vallario.
Reaching over to put her hand atop Jay's, Frankie offered a little squeeze and a warm smile. "You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to. I know what it's like." She'd always felt out of place with her adoptive family, so Frankie often wondered if she'd fit in better with her birth family, but that wasn't perfect either.
