Nox wasn't the type to really play along with things, so when he did, it was always surprising. Lily's eyebrows raised slightly before she frowned again, plunking down in the seat across from Nox's desk. Even if the demon ever did decide to give in to his urges and have a torrid, steamy affair, Lily wasn't sure she could go through with it. He was just so... mommy about things. Who pinched peoples cheeks anymore?
Drawing her knees up to her chest, frowning because her boobs were in the way and then settling on just resting her boots on the corner of Nox's desk, Lily blew her bangs off her forehead and wrinkled her mouth in thought. "I don't know how it started," she confessed. "I just know that... well I was standing in front of Rez's door. That's the last thing I can remember that feels real, if that makes any sense. And I walked in, and he was surprised to see me and... he kept telling me things that I didn't remember happening. Like, I had run off with James to Vegas, and he and Will had gotten divorced, and just... weird stuff like that. And eventually we figured out that there was two of me, and one was real and one wasn't. And I wasn't." She paused, chewing her bottom lip a moment, half reluctant to say more and half because thinking of herself as 'not real' was incredibly depressing.
"So... when everybody got sick, I didn't, and I tried to help Rez out but I couldn't. I mean, there would be spaces where he wouldn't be around and I think I'd just be nowhere. Time would kinda skip and gloss over until I saw him again, and I'd watch him go to sleep and then the next thing I know he's waking up again and it was hours later. Sometimes an entire day. And nobody else could see me so I didn't know what to do. And then like... okay so there's this ghost, and her name is Jack, and she used to follow me all over the place but now she follows Devon and... well anyway, so she told me about this... thing..." Falling quiet, Lily looked at Nox, clearly reluctant to divulge the next bit of information. She didn't want to get in trouble, and she didn't want to get Professor Witt in trouble either for having it. But Nox needed to be told something.
"I wished to be what Rez needed. And this is what I got... the image of some junkie who'd overdosed recently." She shrugged, finished. "That's it."
