Wednesday, 10/17/07 Who: Arcelia and Ethiel Where: The common room and TBA. When: After dinner. What: Meeting someone new and card games.
Both Tuesday and Wednesday found Arcelia in a haze. After what had happened a few days before, she was slowly coming to the realization that something was wrong with her. Depression? She didn't want to think she was. She had been in a mellow mood when talking to Ethiel over the journals, not at all her usual aggressive and flirty self, and before she knew it, they agreed to play card games the next evening. He promised to make her pasta and she immediately started to think of what she could wear...and then he revealed his slightly naughty nature. She wouldn't be Arc if she didn't use this information to her benefit and dressed in a black and white striped dress accordingly. It was even tighter on her now, but she had to progress somehow from wearing baggy dresses.
They were to meet in the common room after dinner (she didn't go since he was going to make pasta) and Arc entered five minutes late. The trouble was, she had no idea what Ethiel looked like and meeting him would be a problem. Oh well, he was sure to notice someone standing around and looking lost, so she waited for him to come to her. She clutched one tropical Capri Sun pouch in each hand, having brought those with her to accompany the pasta. It was good if she contributed something and she had also brought the two decks of cards she had.
What struck her as odd was he was not the type of person she normally chose to be in her company, but it might be nice to get to know someone quieter and bookish. In the back of her mind, Arcelia knew she had been horrible to Jeffrey and this was the start of her making amends. Maybe some day she could gather the courage to talk to him again. It frightened her, but she knew she had to do it for her daughter's sake. Arc forced herself to push those thoughts onto the back burner for now and wipe the frown from her face. Time to eat pasta and have a good time.
