Who: Finn, Rorie and Cassidy When: Afternoon Where: The gym What: Cassidy is having fun messing with Finn's head
It had been a wonderful week. Finn had passed out for several days, came back to the land of the living, ate himself out of home, then went and restocked. Now he was spending quality time with his little brother in the gym. Apparently the new amazing development with him was he was a weremonky thingy. It explained a lot actually. Especially when they started to work out and ended up with their shirts off and Rorie was suddenly this Atlas type body. Rorie had always been lean, but this was six pack with the hip cuts and holy shit he was suddenly a grown up and not a prepubesent. This of course earned him teasing.
They were working on bench pressing, trying to out do each other in reps. Finn was on 50 with 100lbs. Rorie was at 100 with 150lbs. To say that Finn was getting his ass whooped was an understatement. "Okay, okay, pause," he grunted as Rorie spotted him and helped him with the last rep before sitting up. "Holy shit, boyo, you got strong," he chuckled as he let out a breath, picking up his shirt to wipe sweat off of his face.
"Happens when you become a were," Rorie snickered. "Finally better than you at something," he said as he leaned over the weights. Standing up, Finn shook out his shaky arms and nearly hit someone in the process.
"Oh! Hey! Sorry!" He said stepping back when he saw the smaller person-girl actually. "Didn't see you there. . ." Frowning, he looked at her for a moment. "Don't I know you from somewhere?" He asked, giving her a confused look before it clicked. "Oh! I remember you! Cassidy, right? I helped you out when you were sick," he said with a boyish smile, one that made the girls melt. It was the only one he knew as Rorie rolled his eyes with a snort. ~~~ Cassidy was on the mend. She was feeling like shit a bit still but she was struggling through it. It had been a rough couple of weeks. But it was back to the ordinary now as she headed to the gym to get in a few kicks and punches on the bag. What a lot of people didn't know was that Cassidy had been studying kickboxing. After so many years of getting kicked down by her uncle, she had decided it was time to learn to defend herself, so for a few months now she had been coming down here a few times a week to work on that. It just so happened that today was that day.
It was on her way to the bag that she got distracted. Boys tended to do that to her. And when she spotted the two rather attractive guys working out, she had stopped to watch for a bit. When they took a break, she may have accidentally on purpose walked right by then to get their attention. She didn't expect to nearly get smacked and she actually hadn't realized who the one guy was until he said something. She was about to make some snarky remark when she narrowed her eyes and looked at him intently for a moment. "Oh! It's you. Yeah. You helped me get a shower. Hey. Hi." She smiled brightly. "I'm not dead. Ta-da!" She giggled a little. ~~~ "Yeah, it's me," Finn nodded. "Oh, uh, it's Finn, by the way. Finn O'Bannon," he said. "Glad to see you're not dead. That would really suck," he chuckled as he heard Rorie putting on more weight. God, that boy was gonna kill him. "So, you're doing alright then?" He asked, ignoring the younger O'Bannon brother for a few moments. "No side effects or anything like that?" The man was actually genuinely concerned for her. After seeing someone at their worst, it kinda broke your heart a bit for them. ~~~ "Nice to meet you, Finn O'Bannon." Cassidy replied with a smile. "And I'm Cassidy. Jones. Of course you already know that." She rolled her eyes at herself and then added with a bit of a flush, "You already know a bit about me." Such as what she looked like naked. "Oh god, I'm so sorry that I almost threw up on you. It was almost, right? I didn't get any on you, did I? You were really sweet, by the way. I so appreciate it. And I'm fine, I guess. Still a little tired but..." She gave a small shrug of her shoulders. "I'll live." She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. ~~~ Rorie sat on the bench, watching the two, looking between them and wanted to laugh so hard. He wasn't that mean though. So he just cackled in his head and projected it as much as he possibly could at his older brother who turned and gave him a quick glare. "No, you're fine. I didn't get any on me. Good. I'm glad you're feeling better. I'm glad everyone's feeling better," he said as he thought about punching his brother in the shoulder, hard. "You look a lot better too. More lively and pretty and stuff," he chuckled, still distracted by his brother a bit. ~~~ "Not for long," Cassidy remarked. "I'm about to be all sweaty and stuff." She gestured over her shoulder and added, "Going to go hit the bag for a bit. If you finish up here and you're not busy, you could come spot me." She smiled, noticing the other guy and the look on his face when Finn sort of cast him a glare.
"Who are you?" She asked since no one had bothered to introduce the other guy just yet. ~~~ "Okay, yeah. I probably could," Finn nodded, not seeing the harm in it. "Oh him? No one, no one at all," he said smiling sarcastically at Rorie before the other stood up and came over with a shit eating grin.
"Rorie. I'm Finn's little brother, nice to meet you Cassidy," he said sticking out his hand for her to shake. They both towered over her slightly, but they did that with a lot of people, both about 6'1''- 6'2''. Running a hand through his sweaty, rust colored hair, the boys actually looked like brother. Tall, lean, muscular, red hair. Only difference were Rorie's honey hazels and Finn's ocean blue eyes. "I'm sure I could spare Finnigans while I finish my set," Rorie said grinning at his brother. Who in return just glared.
~~~ "Brother? I didn't know Finn had a brother." Of course why would she? She hardly knew Finn at all. But she smiled her sweetest smile and shook his hand. "Nice to meet you too, Rorie." And now that they were side by side, she could see the resemblance. "Damn, they breed them tall in the O'Bannon household huh?" She giggled. "Are you sure? I don't wanna leave you without a spotter. Lifting weights can be dangerous stuff." ~~~ "Yeah, something like that," Rorie chuckled. "I'm fine. I can bench press this guy very well, so I'm fine," he said waving it off. Actually showing Finn up. The older brother gave his younger sibling a look that he actually thought he might be crazy. Maybe there were more hormones with the were thing. If so, God they were fucked.
"I can come help in a little bit. Don't want him to bite off too much," Finn said turning back to Cassidy. She was a cute girl. Someone you could see as a little sister. Which made him think of his own, but he let it go. "That sound cool?" ~~~ "Yeah, cool." Cassidy said, and then she paused as she gave it some thought. "Actually, you know, I can just wait." And to prove that point, she moved to take a seat on one of the bench presses nearby. "You boys can show me how it's done. You know, in case I ever decide I wanna give it a shot." ~~~ "Sure," Rorie said giving Finn a wicked grin before settling himself up under the bench press bar. A wopping 175 lbs on the bar. Finn was hesitant for a moment. "You sure, you can do that much Ror?" He asked as he glanced at Cassidy, hoping to God that they weren't playing chicken with a high schooler just to make Finn look stupid.
"Yeah, I got it," Rorie said, as if to prove a point, lifted the bar up and started to do reps without hesitation. Okay, so this needed to be talked about later, when there wasn't an innocent bystander there.
"When you lift, always make sure you got a spotter. In case you're a dumbass, hot head that thinks he's the shit and you end up letting it fall on you," Finn chuckled, throwing a wink at Cassidy to show he was joking as well as digging at Rorie. ~~~ They were cute. Funny the pair of them. They actually reminded her a little of Adam and Ari only less.... mean. Let's face it, those boys could really get in some serious jabs. She grinned when he threw her a wink and then replied, "I'll keep that in mind." She smirked a bit and then she added, "Oh, and, you know, if Rorie's ever too busy and you wanna come lift, you can let me know and I'll help you out." And just so she was not unclear she added, "I'll spot you any day, Finn." ~~~ Oh God. Finn could hear the laughter in Rorie's head as the kid went to town and easily did 20 reps in a minute before another 30 happened and soon 100 came up. This was something he didn't think would happen. Cassidy, did just say that. Fuuuuuuck. Now was not the time to embarass her in front of Rorie, who was suddenly back in high school. "Your turn then we're good," Rorie said, slipping out and wiping his face off with his shirt. Finn gave him a look before, without shame, taking a good 25lbs off before getting under the bar. Chuckling, Rorie went to his spot and helped Finn take off the bar and lift, making sure it wouldn't fall on his brother's neck and kill him. Five minutes passed and 50 reps were done.
"Okay," Finn said laying there a moment to catch his breath and let his shaky muscles rest a bit. It had been a while since they'd done this and it was seeming that Rorie would progress much more, a lot faster than Finn would. "So," he said sitting up and looking at Cassidy. "How about that kick boxing?" ~~~ Boys never grew out of that competitive stage, it would seem. This whole thing was really enlightening. Of course Rorie was cute and he had a nice body, maybe even nicer than Finn, and he was probably closer to her age, but still, Cassidy was targeting Finn. She knew that he was a nice guy, and honorable sort of guy, and there was something appealing about that, not because that was what she really wanted per say, but because she would like to drive him to step outside of that. That would be hot. Maybe she was just a tiny bit sinister.
Crossing one leg over the other, she sat and watched the whole thing without as much as a peep from her lips, at least until he was finished. "Oooh, I like it when men get all sweaty around me." She giggled, and then she popped up from her seat and added, "I'm down. I rather enjoy getting all sweaty in return."
~~~ Finn was never a blusher. He wasn't one to get embarrassed, but right then, with this young girl saying this in front of him and his brother. He was damn near close enough to be her father! If he were a teen father, that is. So when she said that, his face went really red. Rorie just stood there and grinned. He was just eating it up, waiting to get Finn alone so he could harass the shit out of him. "Okay," Finn said putting his shirt back on.
