Friday 6th February 09
Who: Cassie and Jason
What: A serious talk, and then scandalising a cashier
Where: Starting in biodad's apartment and then a grocery store
When: Friday evening
Jason closed his phone then tucked it into his pants pocket, slightly annoyed at the conversation he'd just had. He had no earthly idea what he'd done to make "Biodad" like him but maybe it'd keep him off their backs. Doubtful, but a pleasant thought. Walking into the kitchen, he caught sight of Cassie pulling out a carton of milk and recoiling at the smell. "I was just informed we shouldn't eat anything in there."
-----------------------------
Cassie was hungry. It was a mission which kept her mostly distracted from why her boyfriend had failed to follow her, or even that he was talking to someone on the phone, helped along by the music she was playing in the kitchen as she danced in just Jason's shirt and her panties. Coffee was one of the first things she found luckily, so Cassie had got distracted by that, only reaching the fridge just before Jason entered and spotted her sniffing the milk. "Ergh! That sounds a good idea." She laughed, shoving the milk back in and shutting the door so she could walk over to him to greet him with a kiss. "Wait... who told you that?"
-----------------------------
Jason gave her a wry smile. "I'll give you two guesses and the first one doesn't count." There was logically only one person who would know just how fresh the food was in the apartment. Though in here Jason could smell it. His coyote side growled, hungry. Being a scavenger, he'd eaten his share of rotting meat before, but Cassie probably wouldn't stomach it.
-----------------------------
Dammit! "Daddy dearest..." She sighed, rolling her eyes. "You answered my phone?" Cassie didn't even consider the idea that biodad would ring Jason directly. That would be too odd. You'd think she would know better.
------------------------------
Jason shook his head. "No, I didn't answer your phone." He waited a moment, watching the confusion and then the light bulb click on. "Yeah, he called mine. And we had a...uh, interesting talk."
------------------------------
"So...." It took a few seconds to realise what they meant and she wrinkled her nose as it hit. Jason was still talking though, telling her what happened, and that wrinkled nose of despair turned to a cringe. "I'm sort of scared to ask what you mean, but... what did he do?"
-----------------------------
Now here was the perfect opportunity to confront Cassie about the scare, but the question was did he really want to? No, but he didn't want secrets between them either. Slowly, so he could guage her reaction, he said, "He wanted to talk to the boy sleeping with his daughter. To warn me to be careful. To not give you another scare."
------------------------------
Whatever it was, this talk had obviously got to Jason, he seemed a little... off, and that worried her. Not as much as his words did though. A flicker of worry showed as he mentioned a 'scare' and she muttered under her breath about killing the older man. "Another scare... is that all he said or... more specific?" She had a bad feeling she knew the answer to that and she did look a little guilty and worried.
--------------------------------
Jason sighed, running a hand through his hair and taking a seat in a chair. "Why didn't you tell me?" He looked up, confused. He couldn't understand why, when she thought she might be pregnant, she didn't come to him. Did she not trust him?
-------------------------------
Cassie echoed his sigh and sat down in another chair, tucking one knee up to her chest. "I didn't want to worry you..." She said softly. "I was worrying enough myself, not helped by the bloody pregnancy test I bought turning up in the hallway and being published on the journals... We were still just friends with benefits at the time and...I didn't want to scare you off or make you panic."
---------------------------------
Jason frowned, glancing up. "That was about you?" Swearing softly, he rubbed his hand over his face. "I'd rather you had told me, Cass," he said gently. "I can't help if I don't know what's going on."
--------------------------------
"Yeah..." She nodded guiltily. "That's why I was trying to put you off going to the infirmary with me." Which was a mistake too it seemed. "I wanted to find out if anything was happening in the first place before I dumped something like that on you. I'm sorry. I should have told you, I know... I just panicked."
-------------------------------
Resting his elbow on the table, he propped his chin on his fist, watching his girlfriend. Jason sighed again. "Well sounds like I need to get checked out now." This was not at all what he had expected to happen when answering his phone thirty minutes ago.
--------------------------------
Cassie half laughed, resting her chin on her knee. "Eventful day huh?" She tried to make a joke of the emotional rollercoaster this had been. "I'm glad you made me go to the infirmary that day, and thank you for... not shouting at me or storming off."
---------------------------------
"You're welcome. For both." It was at that moment that Jason's empty stomach decided to make itself known, rather loudly. Blushing softly at the growl, he stood, walking over to Cassie and brushing a kiss against her temple. "Okay, so we seriously either need to get creative with the pantry, or brave the snow outdoors to go shopping."
---------------------------------
Now THAT did make her laugh, and his kiss, even if was to her temple and not her lips, made her relax even more. "Braving the snow means putting clothes oooon." Cassie pouted.
---------------------------------
Jason arched a brow. "Would you rather not eat?" He opened the first cupboard. Plates, bowls. The second showed glasses. The third housed cans of spam and out of date vegetables. "It's starting to look rather meager."
----------------------------------
"No! I need food for enough energy to jump you tonight." Cassie joked, jumping up in pretend panic. "I guess I'll just have to cover this fantastic body up for a little while so we can get something. It's a sacrifice I know, but... I'll do it for the greater good." With a nod, she walked over to kiss him, then disappeared to the bedroom, hips wiggling deliberately.
-----------------------------------
Oh now that was just mean. Jason returned the kiss, adding a nip to her lip as she pulled away. Still, it took some serious effort to stay in the kitchen while she got dressed. It wasn't like he needed to follow her. He was already ready to go outside, except for the jacket. At least he had something to look forward to tonight.
-----------------------------------
What was life without a little temptation? Luckily Cassie didn't take that much time to get dressed again, so he wasn't left alone too long. Truthfully she just didn't want to give Jason time to dwell on the news biodad had dropped. She was going to kill that man, or just wreck the apartment. Something. The little demon pushed the thoughts from her mind though as she walked back out to her boyfriend. "Ready to adventure?"
-----------------------------------
Jason turned to face Cassie, reaching for his jacket in the hallway. "Only if you're bringing the camera. It's not quite a pirate adventure, but we'll make something work." Grinning, he tossed the other jacket to her, ready to go.
-------------------------------------
"Camera!" Cassie checked her bag for the essential item, raising it to snap a photo of him as he threw her jacket at her. "Check!" She picked the jacket up, pulling it on.
--------------------------------------
Jason would be curious to see just what pose she captured with the camera. Was it all jacket or was he in the frame? Laughing, he zipped his up and headed for the door, keys in hand. "So is there a store nearby?" He thought he smelled one, but wasn't sure.
--------------------------------------
Cassie had nowhere near the patience to take good photos, and it was just as likely she got a photo of the wall as a photo of him OR the jacket. "I haven't got a clue! I've only been here once and I wasn't looking for food." She shrugged, following him out.
---------------------------------------
"Alright, so we follow the nose. Got it." Locking the door behind them, he wrapped his arm around her shoulders, leading the way out into the blistering cold. "I'd much rather be in fur right now," he muttered into her ear. He turned his head, sniffing and finally walked right. "This way."
--------------------------------------
"Better than any idea I had." She agreed with his thought, snuggling into his body to keep warm. "I'm tied between whether I'd rather be in bed, warm, or preferably even hot and sweaty, or just a million more layers out here so I could still watch the snow but still be warm." Cassie mused, eyes sparkling at the magic snow always brought to any place.
----------------------------------------
Jason nodded, turning at the corner down the block. "I know what I'd prefer, but chances are I'll get that in a few hours, so I can be patient." They really were two horndogs, but they meshed so well in other ways too.
----------------------------------------
Cassie laughed at that. "Oh yeah? Who is she?" She teased. "Bring me all the way out here and you're planning on abandoning me for sex tonight apparently"
---------------------------------------
"Oh she's dynamite," Jason groaned, leaning on Cassie as though he'd gone weak in the knees. "Killer hands and amazing mouth. A loose cannon with a lot of firepower. Pint sized with twice the passion." He glanced down at Cassie and chuckled.
---------------------------------------
Sometimes, often infact, she wondered how she had got so lucky as to have Jason for a boyfriend. especially when he played along and was as ridiculous as she was. Cassie listened to his description making little 'mmm's and noises of appreciation at his words. That was until he finished at least and she laughed, whacking him. "Oi! Who are you calling pint sized?!"
----------------------------------------
Jason stilfed his laughter and widened his eyes innocently. "Why my other lover of course! I'd never call you pint sized." Laughing, he dodge when she struck at him again, dashing ahead and scooping up a handful of crusty snow, hiding it where she couldn't see.
----------------------------------------
"Ah! Asshole!" Cassie exclaimed through laughing, her accent well and truly English in that moment, as she tried to hit him and he darted away. Well what was she to do but run after him? So she did.
----------------------------------------
Jason stopped and spun, catching the running Englishwoman in his grip and giving her a facefull of snow. Laughing even harder, he let her go as soon as she had her feet planted, darting off down the street, nearly running past the grocery store on his way.
----------------------------------------
She wasn't expecting him to catch her, and she definitely wasn't expecting a face full of snow. Cassie squealed, barely getting her feet under her as she tried to get away. "I can't believe you did that! Bloody hell that was freeezing!" Pretty sure she couldn't catch him since he was a lot faster than her naturally, the demon settled for scooping up the snow as she ran after him, launching an air strike.
----------------------------------------
Jason grinned as he found the store, turning to share his discovery. "Hey Cass! I found-" His declaration was halted by a face full of snow. Spitting and sputtering, he couldn't help laughing, wiping his face from the water. "You bitch!" Dashing back, he caught up to her, nuzzling his cold, wet face into her throat, tempering it with a hot, open-mouthed kiss against creamy skin.
----------------------------------------
Cassie let out a massive giggle as he turned just in time to get hit by a snowball. Good aim! Good timing! Seemed maybe the world did like her today. Seeing him tun towards her, the demon tried to run backwards but barely caught herself from falling over and was defenseless to his capture. The cold wasn't nice, but the kiss helped distract her, and she bit her lip, still giggling. "Mmmm"
---------------------------------------
Giving a playful growl, he bit her throat and pulled away. "C'mon. I'm freezing and you just want to stand out here and play in the cold." Grabbing her hand, Jason tugged her into the warmth of the store. The shelves weren't completely stocked, but they weren't bare. "Let's go shopping."
---------------------------------------
"You started it!" She exclaimed, still laughing, as he pulled her inside the shop and their noise made the one other person in there stare at them. "Great, now I sound like a five year old" Cassie muttered, sticking her tongue out at the dhampir. "You owe me an awesome dinner now!"
---------------------------------------
Tugging her close, Jason murmured in her ear. "Well I could have fed you before leaving, but chances are we wouldn't have much for dinner." Dirty? Oh definitely, but he just loved the reaction she gave each time. Grabbing a cart, he held her close, starting down the aisles. "So what do we want?"
---------------------------------------
Mmmm now this was more fun to think about than being cold. "We would have had fun though" Cassie purred back, letting her hands discreetly wander for a moment. So he deserved to be at least a little uncomfortable. Putting her voice back to normal, if not a little louder so her voice would carry, she contributed to the shopping list. "Condoms, chocolate sauce, whipped cream, some rope and a wooden spoon master?" She listed.
---------------------------------------
Rolling his eyes at her, Jason played along. "Sounds good for a start." Smacking her ass, he grinned. "So go fetch it. And I'll find dinner." If she wanted to play the servant to his master, he was more than happy to play along.
---------------------------------------
Oh so he wanted to see how far she would go? That was what she heard anyway. Wriggling her ass at the smack she turned to kiss him, a mischievious glimmer in her eyes. "Yessir" They'd see who was embarassed at the checkout.
---------------------------------------
Chances were the cashier would be the most embarrassed. Chuckling, Jason continued down the lane, grabbing a box of cereal, peanut butter, crackers, anything that struck his fancy. Back at the meat counter, two juicy steaks caught his eye and made it into the cart. Now what to go with it?
---------------------------------------
It was barely five minutes before Cassie was back with her armload of goodies, dumping them in the cart. Condoms, whipped cream, toffee sauce, washing line, a wooden spatula, a plastic ruler and clothes pegs. "They didn't have any chocolate sauce, normal rope or wooden spoons. I had to improvise. Does it make you happy?" She laid it on thick, seeing a member of staff peeking at them.
---------------------------------------
Jason took a moment to inspect everything she'd given to him, passing back the ruler and the washing line. "I have better cord at home and that ruler would break too easily." He shook his head, feigning disappointment. "Return them and find something for dinner."
---------------------------------------
Cassie pouted, taking the items and looking upset she had displeased him, but there was a hint of a smile touching her expression that gave it away. "I'm sorry. What am I working with?"
---------------------------------------
Jason caught the smile, but made sure to keep his expression stern for their audience. "Steak. Assuming you earn your supper tonight." Cassie wasn't the only one that could lay it on thick.
---------------------------------------
"I just want to make you happy sir. I'll return these and look for dessert, Would that please you?" She asked, fluttering her eyelashes and biting her lip. The chaos demon had a talent for looking cute for getting out of trouble, and now seemed the perfect time to play on it.
---------------------------------------
Cassie may have a talent for it, but only when the other person wasn't aware. Jason was wise to her tricks. "It'd be a start. We need two sides for the steak in addition to dessert." Turning his head, as if she'd been dismissed, Jason went back to the meat section, searching for anything else that caught his eye. Chances were they'd be snowed out for a few days. Chicken, frozen veggies, stock and canned biscuits joined the cart. Potpie sounded good to him.
---------------------------------------
Even though she knew they were just playing, there was something incredibly hot about the way he was talking to her and the thought of those things she picked up. There was definitely a wiggle to her walk again as she set off to put the things back and try to find the food he told her to get. The issue was, Cassie had no idea about putting together a good meal. Steak....steak....what went with steak? Fries! Fries and.... salad! A tub of truly naughty ice cream was also scooped up, and she came back, showing her choices to him.
---------------------------------------
Jason nodded his approval, fighting not to laugh at the roles they'd adopted. "Great. Now let's deal with breakfast and we'll be set." He grabbed a carton of eggs, frozen waffles, juice, milk and a loaf of bread. It was a full cart, but at least it was something. "Anything else?"
---------------------------------------
With the stuff she had picked up dumped in the cart along with the supplies he had obviously been collecting during her running around, Cassie waited to see what else was left. Breakfast. That was easy, he had the basics of what he'd need. "We have coffee, so I'm set for breakfast." Not eating proper breakfasts was one of the demon's little faults.
---------------------------------------
Jason leaned forward against the cart. "If you need the energy, you'll need the food. Take my word for it." It was a subtle warning. At this point, she knew he woke up randy and given their track record, they'd be burning through fuel for their bodies to keep up.
---------------------------------------
Cassie did not miss the meaning behind those words and her eyes sparkled at memories of past mornings waking up together. "Bacon, or english muffins would be good then. Please." She said with a smile.
---------------------------------------
Smiling, Jason pointed, indicating that Casse could fetch them herself. "Both." Homemade egg mcmuffins would be a great breakfast in the morning.
---------------------------------------
She was struggling not to laugh now as he reminded her of the role she had been playing, so instead she turned and got the items he told her. The bacon was grabbed, but then a little 'slip' of the fingers and she slooowly bent over to pick up the muffins now on the floor, glancing past her legs to see his reaction before she straightened up. "Ooops." She purred, walking back to put the things in the cart and go on tiptoes to kiss him.
---------------------------------------
Jason's eyes flashed a brilliant gold for a moment, too quickly for anyone but Cassie to realize what had happened. When she sauntered back, he pulled her into the kiss, slipping his tongue past her lips for payback. Slowly pulling away, he murmured, "It's time to check out. Got any cash from biodad?"
---------------------------------------
Now that was the kind of payback Cassie thoroughly enjoyed, even if she wasn't expecting it in the middle of the supermarket. "Mmmm..." She paused, rubbing her lips together. "I might have found some cash stashed away, and a few bottles of wine and various alcohols to go with our dinner."
---------------------------------------
"Then let's go." Keeping an arm around Cassie, he led them to the register, setting items on the belt in front of the cashier. The boy just stood there, jaw dropped and eyes on Cassie. "Something I can help you with," the dhampir asked, mildly possessive.
---------------------------------------
Well that was a start to the reaction Cassie expected from the poor boy after the show she and Jason had been putting on. Fluttering her eyelashes she played sweet. "Are you ok honey?" She asked the cashier, keeping her face under control as he stammered an apology and started ringing their shopping up, face bright red. There was no way chaos could leave it there though, putting the first things in bags, she looked to Jason. "Do you want those things you had me get for tonight in the same bag?"
---------------------------------------
Jason shrugged, turning his back to the cashier so he couldn't see the grin the dhampir couldn't hide. "You know exactly how I like them packed." Of course, that was his way of saying he didn't really care and he needed to get out before he started laughing.
---------------------------------------
That wasn't fair! It was a lot harder for Cassie to keep a straight face when he was about to break. She had to look into the bags to manage it, packing everything and paying in record time. "Enjoy your night." The cashier managed to get out as they walked away, and that threatened everything. She had to take a very deep breath before she could say anything. "Oh he will." She winked
---------------------------------------
As soon as Cassie paid, Jason grabbed a couple bags and was out the door. Out of sight, he leaned against the side of the building, needing the support he was laughing so hard. Cassie was unbelievable. She'd either seriously turned that kid on or scarred him for life.
---------------------------------------
As soon as they were safe out of sight she couldn't stop herself from laughing right along with Jason. "The look.... on his face...." Cassie could barely breathe, having to take some deep breaths to get back to speaking state. "I think he half expected you to put a leash on me before we left! What was that bit anout IF I earn my dinner? I sound like a naughty kid!"
---------------------------------------
Jason grinned. "I couldn't help it. It sounded good though." Tugging her close, he gave her a smacking kiss. "You totally earned dinner. And dessert. God, that poor kid."
---------------------------------------
Cassie grinned up at him. "I think we both earned dinner and dessert. You played your role well. I'm beginning to think you like telling me what to do though. You get that look." She winked, kissing him again. "We should probably get this stuff back so we can get distracted sooner..."
---------------------------------------
"It is kinda fun," Jason shrugged, agreeing. It wasn't something he liked doing all the time, but once in awhile it was exciting, different. "Oh, I can agree with that." He turned, walking back and being careful of ice. Jason couldn't wait for dessert.
