Hope knew it must be bad for him that he was allowing her to be the one to make the phone call. She felt bad, sure, but after having battled cancer (albeit she had lost), this wasn't more than she could handle. She didn't particularly enjoy the way she was feeling right now, but it hadn't been so very long since the last time she had been ill and so perhaps that made it easier to function through this than it did for Godric to do the same.
The conversation with the director was brief. He too was ill-stricken and it seemed to have spread very quickly throughout the school. Already he had people on it, those who weren't ill at least. It essentially concluded with him telling her to simply take care of herself and rest as they may need her mind to help undo whatever had been done once they'd found out the cause. She did not feel any better when she'd hung up the phone than she had when she'd dialed it. In fact, she felt worse.
"It's all over the school, apparently. He's got it too, but he's working through it, trying to figure it out. He wants us to rest so that maybe we'll be well enough to help once they've... mmm." She had to stop talking for a moment to bypass a wave of nausea before she completed the sentence. "Once they've figured out what happened." Pausing, she really looked at Ric and then remarked, "You don't look so good. We should get you into bed."
