It comforted her so much to hear Starbuck say that he'd never let their little family go. Not that Kim doubted it for a second, but it warmed her heart to hear it. This was the way family was supposed to feel. Not like what she had grown up with.
And speaking of the family she had grown up with... Kim frowned as Starbuck brought up her brother. She hadn't spoken with him since she told him about Reed and even when he was the one that tried to initiate contact, she ignored him. "Probably just as hard-headed as ever. I talked to Mrs. Metcalfe the other day, but I didn't ask about him and she knows not to bring him up right now." It cut Kim deeply that her brother was so incredibly opposed to her having this baby with Starbuck. Why couldn't he just be happy for her?
