Swallowing, hearing Xander's words, June nodded slowly. She understood. Xander was a demon that lived on the surface. Finn had been right about one thing, as much as June hated to admit it. Too many people knew what she was, and it was a detriment. If she was to please her new master, she would need to seem more human. What a gross thought.
"I can." She spoke softly, but not without determination. "I can be unnoticed. I'll learn to be like them." Bringing herself upright, she sat back on her heels, her back straight and head erect. "I'll please you." This would be easy. Humans were simple creatures, fascinating in an odd way. She hated to admit that they intrigued her. "What do you need of me first, my master?"
