It was comforting to June, and warming, to have a demon master speak to her this way. She had wondered if perhaps she was weak, like her father, because the topside plane had been so drastic and jarring to her. It had taken such time to get used to, she wondered if maybe she did have inferior breeding like the other hounds whispered about. But to hear that a master had had trouble adapting, too...
Still, she could not think of a scenario in which she might actually like humans. They did interest her, but she couldn't say she harbored a fondness for them, like Mal and Nox seemed to. Being that lived so shortly obviously had a reason to do so- because they were not strong or important enough to live very long.
