Who: Frankie and Lucas (maybe Ash later) When: Wednesday early evening Where: the kitchen in wing J What: cooking lesson!
Frankie LOOOOVED to cook. She even loved it more than shopping (unless she could shop without worrying about the price of anything, because that topped everything else). It was fun teaching others the tips and tricks that her nonna had taught her. Frankie's nonna was the world's most amazing cook. Fact. The woman just had a gift for it, and while Frankie wasn't related to her by blood, she felt like she'd inherited that gift. Everything Frankie made tasted delicious. Even Vinnie had to admit that much, and he wasn't big on gushing over his sister, but he sure did enjoy her cooking.
When she arrived at the kitchen, she immediately began to unpack ingredients. Frankie actually had TWO mini fridges in her dorm room, because she kept a lot of cooking stuff on hand, and it wasn't safe to store stuff like that in the common area, though she doubted anyone would eat a pound of mascarpone if she left it in there.
By the time someone else strolled into the kitchen, she'd neatly organized all the ingredients and supplies. There was no actual cooking involved in making tiramisu, but it still counted as cooking in her book, and it was totally delicious. After cannoli, tiramisu was Frankie's favorite dessert.
"Are you Lucas?" she asked, looking him over. He had a nice smile, and from the looks of the little lines at the corners of his mouth and eyes, it looked like he smiled and laughed a lot. Frankie liked that trait in others. She didn't trust people who lacked laugh lines.
