Who: Mandy and Wesley What: Father/daughter cuddles Where: Starting on campus When: After her talk with Rorie Rating: PG
It was hard to walk down a corridor crying without people asking what was the matter with you, especially in a place like TJS where everyone seemed to need to know everyone else's business. Mandy was practically running through the hallways to avoid people, because she couldn't be very convincing that she was fine and she didn't want to tell anyone the truth. It hadn't gone well with Rorie, not at all. She felt horrible. She felt so horrible it was making her feel sick. She didn't want Rorie to have nothing to do with his kid, because it was his kid. But she had seen him, and his life, and the people he surrounded himself with, and how could she possibly let a baby into that environment? Rorie loved Garret more than was probably sane, and Mandy liked Garret kinda, but Garret was probably the last person on Earth she wanted to be around her kid all the time as an influential figure. And Mal... she couldn't even imagine him with a baby. She couldn't imagine a house with three men who all lived like bachelors raising a baby. This wasn't a cheesy 80s movie, it was reality. And in reality, she would be better off raising it alone.
Mandy didn't want to be by herself right now, and she didn't want to be with a friend, so there was only one place and one person she needed. Quieting her sniffled and wiping her face, she walked through the infirmary with her head down so no one took much notice of her, looking from room to room until she found her dad. Thankfully he was alone, either doing some paperwork like he was supposed to or drawing obscene stick figure flip comics on the corners of the reports. Again. Without a word, Mandy went to him and wedged herself into his arms, face resting against his chest.
