Starbuck and Kamea were so very lucky to have found Kim. She was the best partner a man could ask for, and she'd become a mother in ever sense of the word to Kamea. Starbuck hoped that Kamea would feel the same when she was old enough to understand what had happened to the woman who gave birth to her. Starbuck would never lie to Kamea. He'd be completely forthcoming, and that was part of why he worried about her asking questions. He hoped she'd never be upset with Lani for how things had worked out. The woman made mistakes, but she was probably just doing what she thought was best at the time.
Grinning ear to ear, Starbuck put his hand beside Kim's. "Little man. I like that." It had a nice ring to it. "If he has your dimples, he'll have to fight off women when he's older." Because no one was immune to the power of the dimples. Starbuck certainly wasn't.
"I don't know what you'd do without me either," he teased, pulling her to him again and kissing her neck. "You should probably do all you can to keep me."
