A confession was definitely not what Fisher had been expecting, but he didn't seem phased by it, either. People liked to tell him their troubles. Actually, this was probably a good sign. It meant that Devon liked him enough at least to talk to him, and that was something.
Smiling a little, Fisher shook his head. "I really doubt that," he said gently. "Will loves you. You're his kid, you know? He's not gonna hate you for anything." Now was not the time to mention that parents were only human, and sometimes thet did hate their children. But Devon was still young in his mind, whatever he had done couldn't be that bad.
