"He joins me here at times." This was the first time they had ever really spoken about much of anything about their life. Syn didn't typically talk about that when he was here just as he didn't talk about this place when he was in the vanilla world. "He likes to... dabble." That was really all it could be described as where Ikon was concerned. He wasn't really a part of the life. He didn't require it or crave it like Syn did. He just found it amusing and interesting from time to time. "But yes, it's good to have him around. He's removed me from more than one bad situation." Syn exhaled a soft laugh, feeling a bit nervous now that they were onto conversation. He admired the other man from the other end of the sofa with a soft smile forming upon his lips. "Many," he agreed, debating himself for a moment before he moved onto all fours to crawl down to Bastian, closing the space between them. He curled up against him then, head upon the other man's chest. "Will you tell me a story? On in which you're the star?" He wanted to know more about him, but he didn't want to come right out and ask. This way, Bastian could give him a truth or a lie, could use the story to drive the next scene or to simply know one another better.
Bastian nodded, filing the information away for future reference. "What's his preference?" Not to say that he was interested, but it never hurt to know beforehand how to address someone. He lay still when Syn crawled over, the bloody scratches catching his eye. "I definitely like seeing that on your stomach. Sexy." He dropped one hand around Syn's shoulders, stroking his back idly. "A story? Hmm." He knew exactly what Syn was subtly digging for, and the attempt was cute. "If you have a question, just ask. I've little to hide." Truth be told, he only had one thing to hide and it was likely not many humans would enjoy hearing it.
"Women," Syn replied simply at first. But he knew that wasn't the question he was really asking. "And he's dominant. He's.. very into exhibitionism." He paused before he added, "He has a girlfriend now though. I don't know that he will be spending much time here any longer." And this clearly did not please the sprite. It wasn't that he wasn't happy for him, he just didn't like the way their dynamic was changing. It left Syn feeling quite lonely, truth be told. But he smiled at the compliment, daring to meet Bastian's gaze for a moment as he concurred, "As do I." The permission granted to ask questions and receive answers made Syn feel somewhat tense but that wouldn't stop him from asking a few. "Who are you?" He went for the core first, no beating around the bush. Syn could be direct when there was something that he wanted.
Girlfriend and dominant and possibly leaving the circuit. So if Bastian came into contact with Ikon, friendly professionalism. God it. He watched Syn's eyes at the mention of a girlfriend, noting the moment of sadness. That didn't need to be there, so he tugged Syn closer. The question both surprised him and yet it didn't. The only thing left was how to answer. "Vague questions usually get vague answers. Be more specific."
Syn exhaled a soft laugh as he was pulled closer, turning his face to press a kiss against the fabric of the other man's shirt, fingers curling in the cloth as he admitted what he probably had no need to admit, "I'm jealous. I've only ever dated one person and that was..." He nearly said decades, instead he settled on, "A lifetime ago, or so it seems." Before Syn had become Syn he had had a girlfriend. But he had of course never felt fulfilled. And it took him a long time before he managed to come to terms with the reasons why. Tilting his chin up, there was the slightest hint of a frown in regards to Bastian's answer, but he could be more specific if that was what was required. "What type of work do you do?"
