Syn gave Will a look, one that he would be familiar with by now, the one that said that that was a dumb suggestion and he knew it and that he shouldn't even go there. Most people didn't understand Syn's underlying needs but... they didn't have to. Syn knew who he was and what he wanted. And he knew what he would settle for in the meantime. That was that. They weren't having that conversation.
"It's still beautiful, ya know?" Syn cast a smile in the other man's direction. "Most especially my view from here." He laughed, nudging the taller man a little. "Most people run when things get hard, I know all about that. But things aren't gonna be any better somewhere else than they are right here, not really. So I'm proud of you for being here today. And I'll be proud of you when you're still here tomorrow too."
And now to get off of sappy and onto something else, "How does IHOP sound? I'm STARVING. I feel like I could eat a pig." Usually Syn ate like a bird, but there were times when, for such a little man, he could put things away. And this was destined to be one of those days.
