"I'd say I'm doing quite well so far. Diamonds," he touched the large ring on her hand, "Clothes and shoes," she had several lovely things he'd bought for her, "And you've never hesitated to use my credit card," because he insisted so often. Nox never wanted Belle to want for anything. He had only been in love a handful of times, but each of those women had been treated like royalty. He was a generous man around just about everyone, but he was especially generous to those he loved.
"Absolutely," he said with resolve. He didn't mind at all that she used to be a stripper. Belle had been around a long time, and she was a free spirit. It didn't surprise him that she'd danced to pay the bills for a while. He'd actually suspected it for some time now, because she moved in ways that only a professional could, and Nox reaped all the benefits. "The mess isn't so bad.. but I'm not sure about Dante. That's something I could do without." He'd gotten used to it, and he knew neither of them meant any harm. Dante was a lot of things, many of them nefarious, but Nox didn't think he'd ever cross the line and do more than make crude comments. Besides, the guy was gone now, and Nox didn't know if he'd ever see him again.
