Subtlety had never really been Shizuka's specialty, or a character trait... at all, really. She knew how to lie when it came to dreams, why she couldn't go talk to someone, why she couldn't go out, but... she just didn't know how to react to this. She was honestly positive that he was going to expel her, or worse! And the worst part of the whole thing was that she knew it was her own fault. How could she be that stupid to just go and send him something like that without checking it first?
When he suddenly snapped at her, though, it stunned her into silence for a moment, and she couldn't help but blush when he took her hand. Her eyes followed the touch and it took her a few moments before she could even manage to look up at him. Oh, this was not good. This was awkward. She'd probably made him think she wanted to jump him or something, and she had already been so confused by dealing with Xander and Dr. Skylar and she just... she didn't want someone dark and scary. She had wanted to be around someone like Jin-Sang who was nice and... and now probably hated her guts. Or, at the least, was too nervous to ever talk to her again.
Shizuka couldn't really keep eye contact with him, even as he told her, reassured her that she wouldn't be expelled. The fear from that had begun to fade, but she just didn't really have an idea of what he could possibly do. There had to be a consequence. Somehow. She just wasn't sure what it was. Glancing up at him, Shizuka swallowed hard and suddenly realized how close they really seemed to be. She knew she should move, but the chair and the desk pinned her from going anywhere. "I..." She was about to apologize again, even though he had told her not to, and she forced herself to stop.
