If karma really did exist, then Syn could be in trouble in the future, not that he really took advantage of anyone or meddled in anyone's affairs, but he didn't always show respect for marital vows. He could only assume that he had done his fair share of damage to people in that aspect and perhaps one day soon that would come back to haunt him, but he wouldn't spend his life, his time, worrying about it.
Syn offered a smile when Will reached out to stroke his fingers through his hair. "I expected the same," he admitted. "But I'm very happy to see you. And glad to be needed." He thrived on that sort of thing, after all. That was another part of the reason why he and Ikon had worked as friends for so long. The other man never hesitated to make Syn feel needed and there was something in his psyche that required that sort of thing.
"The first time always hurts the most," Syn remarked. "You're strong though. You'll pull through." He paused before he added in a much softer voice, "And if there's anything you need..." Yes, that implied certain things, but he wouldn't be insulted if those implications did not come to pass.
