"Take a breath, regroup, then decide where you need to go from here." He paused before he added, "If he's worth fighting for, you will find it somewhere." There was nothing discreet about that, and all Syn could do was sit and suffer through it. He knew as well as anyone that there was no cure for a broken heart. He'd had a few in his lifetime, and he was sure he would have a few more before his time ended, but the first one was always the worst one.
"She seems like a fountain," Syn said with a small laugh. "I hate to think what sort of trouble they could get in together though." Ikon had no real sense of consequence and required someone level-headed about, which was why his friendship with Syn worked out so well. While Syn was the one who would perhaps be considered the most "messed up" by common standards, giving his sexual practices, he was the one out of the two who had his act together the most. But he wasn't really thinking about that at the moment, he was thinking about Will's issues, the expression on his face, those tears that were stinging his beautiful eyes.
With a moment of hesitation, as he did not want to cross any unspoken boundaries, Syn decided to offer comfort in one of the most innocuous ways that he knew how. He shifted onto his side and then lay down, head resting in Will's lap and his body in a slight fetal position. He peered up at him with those large, bright eyes of his, a hand placed on top of Will's own.
