"I started talking to Fisher again." That was what had happened last week and had continued on into this week as well. "And it got inside my head." He wasn't entirely sure what he meant by "it". Fisher had? The idea that he had to have him back had? He wasn't really sure. All he knew was this, "I didn't.. intend it. But I wanted to remind him of things, to help him remember the things he had forgotten because I felt, I feel, partly responsible and... Talking about the past, reliving in my head for his benefit..." He closed his eyes and then added in a soft voice, "I'm falling in love with him again."
A hand moved up to scrub at his face then the other brought the glass up to his lips to have a drink. As he leaned forward to put the glass down, he decided to address what Will had said about Godric. "Maybe Ric is right. Maybe we did rush things. It didn't.. feel like we were at the time but we obviously weren't really ready. If you had been ready, the thing with Ana would have never happened and if I had been ready... I wouldn't be willingly distancing myself from you in order to get closer to someone else."
James had remained leaning forward, elbows on his thighs and his forehead against upturned palms. "But I love you," he added, then made himself sit up straight as he took a breath. "That'll never be a lie."
