Who: Jason and Aislyn When: Afternoon Where: Front lawn of the school What: A challenge of speed has been issued!
After picking out a black maxi dress with paisley patterned across it in blue and pink and strapping on her pink sandals, Aislyn did her hair. Sending a round brush through her blond hair and curling the ends, she left her hair down in loose waves and ringlets. After a touch of makeup to even out her skin she felt ready to go. The sprite was only meeting with her friend for a race, in which she was sure to sweat somehow because it was very warm outside, but she wanted to look nice. Looking nice was good. It was attractive. It said, "hey, look at me. I care about my appearance enough to put forth the effort."
Aislyn just made sure never to tell people she wouldn't spend more than ten minutes on her appearance. She cared, but she didn't care THAT much.
Heading outside to meet Jason on the grounds where they had agreed to meet, she turned around on her feet quickly. Those shimmering wings glittered in the sun as they fanned out on her back like a cape in the breeze. It was so beautiful outside and her skirt was perfect for spinning. She just had to be careful not to flash anyone. Her tiny panties could hardly be considered underwear in her mother's eyes. But such was the way with the thong. Oh, well.
When she saw Jason approaching she stopped spinning, laughing from being so dizzy. "Hey!"
Jason wasn't dressed too well, just a pair of sport shorts and a tshirt along with flipflops. Not exactly something to go out to dinner with, but he was intending to win a race. If Aislyn was going to be using her wings, then Jason wanted every advantage he could get, and his best was as a coyote. Heading outside, he met Aislyn on the lawn, already floating around in a pretty dress, even though it was mostly black and the sun was shining.
"Hey, Aislyn. Hope you don't mind, but I figured I'd change out here." Years of being a lycan and shifting at the full had given him a unique perspective on modesty. Mainly, he had none. Though the clothes he wore were loose enough that if the sprite insisted, he could shift without damaging them too much.
Watching him approach, she smiled. Cute. That dress-down thing really suited him. Really. She laced her hands behind her back and took a few steps forward to meet him now that she found her balance. Her toes barely touched the warm earth below.
"Change?" she asked, then made a face and smiled again. "Oh, right! Yeah. Go ahead. It's no big deal." She waved her hands then put them on her pretty little hips. "Do you want me to look away or should I just get a head start?"
Jason chuckled. "You can watch if you want. But I think we should figure out first just how far we're running, don't you?" If it was going to be a race, they may as well make it fair. He looked out across the field, searching for a decent marker that could count as a finish line.
Looking with him, she sighed softly. The breeze was nice and perfect for flying. How lovely! Aislyn then pointed a slender finger out toward the tree line. "How about that rock. The one all by itself?" She smiled and looked up at Jason from where she stood, short, beside him. "So, what do you get if you win? Not that you will, but it's good to know what I'm racin' against."
Nodding, Jason agreed. "Sure, that rock looks fine." Since the field was laid out, he stripped off his shirt. "And if I win I want...hmm." Dropping his shirt to the ground, he thought about it for a moment. "Cookies." Yup, that was it and he gave a sharp nod. "I want cookies. Chocolate ones with m&ms."
Watching his shirt drop to the ground, Aislyn smirked softly and tilted her head to the side. Her blond hair fell over her shoulders. "Cookies? Alright. Sounds good. Cookies versus cake." Her eyes looked at his face before out over the fielding, body turning half away from Jason so he could continue on. Though that isn't to say she didn't peek.
"Yeah. Cookies." Jason smirked as Aislyn tured away. Kicking off his flipflops, he dropped his shorts in the bright sunlight and called to the beast within, feeling the muscles and bones in his body break and shift as he changed.
Within a short minute, he was panting softly, tongue lolling out of his jaw. Coming to all four feet, Jason stretched and shook his body free of the tingles that remained from the change. It still felt a little weird, even after all these years. When he was done and ready, he gave a soft yelp to Aislyn and padded over to the starting line.
When he did change over she looked away. For some reason that felt a little more personal than some private parts--parts she did not see, thank you. Aislyn then turned back when he yelped, blinking. Then she made a face of adoring. "Awwwww!" she cooed, wings popping open to stop a hard fall as she came to her knees and rubbed him around the neck. "You're just the cutest!"
Jason dropped his head and covered it with a paw. Why did people think coyotes so cute? Blue had said the same thing recently and he just didn't understand it. Though that was probably because he'd been one his entire life. Aislyn seemed to enjoy burying her face in his fur, so he let her cuddle him just as long as she wanted.
She pet him for a few minutes longer, then laughed and let go. How silly. "Sorry! No more of that. Ha." With a shrug she stood up and dust off her skirt. "Ready, then?" asked Aislyn with a smile, looking down at him.
Jason gave his body a brieft shake to fluff his fur from where she had clamped it down with her hug. Not that he minded, but it just felt better when running to be able to feel the breeze through his fur evenly. He glanced over at Aislyn, waiting for her mark.
Holding out her hand and pointing at the rock she gave a nod. She was ready and he seemed to be. With a smile she leaned forward and put her hands on the ground in a runner's pose. "One!" called Aislyn while her hair fell over her face. "Two!" She looked at Jason and gave a wicked grin. "Three!" Her hands left the ground as she pushed off and started to run forward over the grass, the black skirt around her legs tossing and turning like the sea. She ran pretty fast on foot.
Jason grinned, his tongue lolling out of his mouth as he took off just as the last word escaped. It took him only a few strides before he passed her. That she stayed on foot surprised him, but he wasn't about to look a gift horse in the mouth and loped along happily.
Watching him run she laughed. Aislyn liked to run, sometimes, but she was really a flying kind of gal. With her arms pumping at her side she took about five more thundering steps, feet hitting the ground hard as she ran, before throwing her arms forward. She sprang and looked as though she were diving, but she did not go down. Those butterfly shaped wings of hers snapped open and carried her forward, fluttering so fast they were hardly seen. After a few seconds she put her arms down, letting them hang partially in the air. Ahhh. The wind on her face was glorious. And she caught up to Jason after a few more seconds of flight. Her fingers tugged his tail gently to let him no she was there, then she was over him like a cloud. "Hey~"
Jason thought for sure he was going to win. She certainly couldn't win on foot. He'd even slowed his pace down so he wouldn't win by too much. As he was loping along, he'd felt a tug on his tail and yelped at the surprise. Glancing up, he nearly stumbled seeing that the sprite was flying after all, the little minx.
Her fingers dragged over his fur, tickling him, before she took off to fly faster. She couldn't go much faster than this new speed. It was hard to go so quickly, her wings having to beat harder than ever. It was like running as fast as you possibly could, then pushing that limit. When a runner's legs got weak and felt like rubber, her wings felt the same. Sometimes she even falls out of the sky--which was why she made sure to keep relatively low. She didn't like falling down.
"Come on, Jason! I thought you were better than this!" she teased, not looking back at him. If she looked she might lose her direction and just fall down anyway.
Jason watched as she practically drifted along above him, passing him even. Of course, the breeze she created from her wings made her dress swirl around her legs, and give him an interesting view. Apparently though the sprite love long dresses, she also like thongs that showed plenty of her tight, cute butt. Stumbling a little from the view, it took him a moment to catch up. Lengthening his stride, Jason reached Aislyn with a devious thought in mind. She'd tugged his tail and gave him a lovely view, so to return the favor, he leaped up and ran his tongue from over her calf from ankle to knee.
Well that was completely and totally unexpected. Aislyn was flying, quiet well, until she felt something wet on her leg. With a shiver being sent up her spine her wings faltered in a twitch and she felt her feet touch the ground. If she hadn't tried to find balance again she would have fallen. Yet even as her toes felt the grass she felt something was wrong. Those wings, tired sooner than she anticipated from beating so fast, stopped. They felt a little like Jell-o where the filmy appendages met her back. With a started cry she threw her hands out and prayed not to break her neck.
Jason hadn't meant to make her falter, but it was funny to watch her float merrily along then, with a gasp, suddenly flail. Of course, that stopped being funny the moment that she reached out for something to break her fall and instead tangled herself in him! With a surprised yip, Jason stumbled to the ground, rolling in the grass as the sprite collapsed on him.
Oh, dear. This was not good. Her dress suddenly felt like a tangle of rope around her legs. That was the terrible thing about them, really, they always caught on your feet. At least when Aislyn flew and bent her knees. That aside, her hands felt both grass and fur as she collided with the coyote. Then her shoulder felt the burn of the green blades. Then her hip. Finally her back as she rolled over and gapped for air, having lost it in the crash.
"Jason..." she said through heavy breaths. "What...are you doing....licking my leg?" Pant. "I mean...really...if you wanted...to lick me.....all you had to do was say so."
Jason could just imagine the scene if it were being watched from one of the dorm windows. A sprite and a coyote tripping over themselves and falling to the ground. He started letting out soft high-pitched yips as if he were laughing, and really, he was. This was just far too funny to him.
Looking over at him she reached out with a hand and slapped at his paws. "This isn't funny!" She shook her head and sat up on an arm. Her blue eyes narrowed on his face, that long muzzle of his, before she leapt at him. "You think it's funny? I could have died! Then it would have been all your fault!" Kneeling over the canine she snapped her white teeth at him. "
Jason couldn't very well argue with her while he was a coyote and she was snapping at him. So he did the next best thing.
He kept laughing.
"OH! You're bad!" she shouted at him, shaking his furry body before wrapping her arms around him in a hug and laying there. "Fine. Stuck with it."
Feeling friendly, Jason shifted his head and licked her cheek. This was just too much fun. He hadn't had a good race in awhile, and it didn't even bother him that he didn't win. The last time he'd gone out, it'd been to chase down Blue. At least here there was no ulterior motive, and Jason liked that. He liked Aislyn. She was fun, spunky and just cute.
Laughing as he licked at her face, Aislyn scratched behind his ears. "Aww, he likes me!" she teased, fingers working wildly. Her hands then worked their way down his neck and over his spine until they found his tail. Playing with it, she scratched at the base on his back. "Tell me, one sniff for yes and two for no, is it weird being both a coyote and human? I mean like, if I'm scratching your back, is it your back as a person, too?" She was curious.
Jason closed his eyes, enjoying the scratching. Oh, it felt so good, and fingers could reach places that he couldn't hit with either his feet or his jaw. As usual when he was happy, his tongue lolled out of his mouth and he panted. He stopped when she asked a question. Was it weird to be both coyote and human? Well, considering he wasn't exactly human, but he'd never known anything else, it wasn't weird to him. Two sniffs were his answer.
Oh, cool. She gave a small shrug. "So it's not weird when people rub your stomach?" asked Aislyn, hands moving their way back up his spine and his sides. She loved dogs. They were so fun to play with. It was too bad they couldn't fly with her!
ason snorted once. Yes it was weird. Not to mention showing your stomach, while getting it scratched felt awesome, it was the ultimate submissive position. Not one he was fond of.
Aislyn giggled. "Alright. I won't do that. Is it weird when I rub your back? I mean, I think massages are great. You must get them all the time like this!" she grinned.
Jason shook his head. He actually didn't get massages all the time. Very few people here had seen him shifted, so there weren't many that would pet him. No one in his pack had either. But her rubbing his back felt really good.
They could have made this a habit. She gasped a little at finding out he didn't get rubs all of the time. "That's just a crime! How can anyone as amazing and cute not get rubs all of the time? This will be a habit. Just don't lick me. Unless you're a boy. I could do that. And don't sniff me, either. I never got why dogs do that. Do you know why?" Babble. Maybe something in the fall knocked her brain loose.
Jason raised his head and turned to look at her patiently. Did she really think he could answer all those questions as he was? She'd just have to wait to remember them and ask him later.
She waited a moment, and when he didn't answer she gently poked him in the side. "Well?" Aislyn demanded, grinning. "It'd be cool if I was psychic. Then I wouldn't have to wait for you. Maybe you should go get your clothes. I don't really like talking to myself." With a smile she buried her face in his neck.
Jason sighed. She tells him to go get his clothes, then immediately buries her face in his fur. She was just a mass of contradictions and god help him it was funny.
It wasn't funny! She wanted answers. Aislyn wanted to know things because she was curious, albeit rather stupid, young lady. "Jaaaaaason. You should learn to speak in this form."
Jason shrugged, as much as he could with her still laying on him. He could speak. It was just coyote and she couldn't understand it. He yipped once to demonstrate his skill before stretching back out on the grass.
Letting go of Jason, she rolled over on her back and lay beside him. Ah, the sun was so nice. And the breeze when it traveled over the grass was lovely. Under her, her wings remained neat and folded, and tired.
Getting to his feet, Jason shook himself again and trotted over to where his clothes lay on the ground. Having had practice at this, He maneuvered his clothes so his back feet were through the legs of his pants and resting on his flip flops before starting the shift.
When he was human again, he reached down, thankfully he was squatting, and tugged the shorts up over his bare ass. For once his toes were fitted into the shoes like they were supposed to. Grabbing his shirt, Jason slipped it on as he rose to his feet before jogging back to where Aislyn waited and plopping beside her.
Aislyn hadn't watched. Of course not. That was rude and invasion of privacy!
So she peeked. It wasn't watching. But when he started back toward her she was laying in the grass again, eyes on the clouds. Not suspicious at all.
"Oh, hey!" she smiled up at him, arms open by her sides. "Nice of you to join me."
Jason smiled. "Yeah, I figured that as nice as it was to be petted, being able to talk back ranks a bit higher." He stretched out next to her, folding his hands behind his head to gaze at the clouds. After having met several vampires, Jason was suddenly more grateful that he could walk in the daylight.
Oh, he was a funny one. Aislyn rolled onto her side to face him, one arm holding up her head while the other draped fluidly over her side, fingers resting on her thigh. "Alright, well talk!" she teased. "Answer my questions. Then maybe I'll make you cookies, anyway. Though I think I won because you sabotaged me."
Jason turned his head to face her, still happy on his back. "Sure." He paused, frowned then laughed. "What was the question again?"
After a blink, she laughed as well. "You're hopeless!" she cried out, swatting at him before resting her arm on her side once more. "I...don't remember either. I guess we'll never know." Aislyn sighed heavily and roll her eyes, fingers coming to play with her hair idly. "I won."
Jason grinned, not even worried about it anymore. "You didn't win. You tripped me up. I landed a nose ahead of you anyways." He didn't really care one way or the other, but the bantering was fun.
"Wings beat nose," she replied with a smile of her own. This was fun. "My wings were father than your nose."
Jason gasped indignantly. "They were not! They were tucked behind you." He was pretty sure they were at least. Right?
"Yah, whatever. Before I nearly died? I was winning!" Aislyn leaned up on her forearm to look down at him. "You owe me cake!"
Jason sighed and shook his head. Were all women so melodramatic? "You didn't nearly die. And I caught up to you. You owe me cookies."
With a teasing glare she threw up her free hand slightly. "Fine! But you owe me cake!"
Chuckling, he nodded his head. "Sure, as long as storebought's alright. I can't cook to save my life."
"Cake is cake. But I'm baking your cookies, so you better like them!" Her voice came out in a sing-song fashion as she settled back down.
"You're making me cookies. As long as you don't trade the sugar for salt, I'm pretty sure I'll like 'em." Jason shuddered at the memory. One girlfriend had gotten it ito her head that she could bake and wanted to make him cookies. It would've been great if she hadn't misread the recipe.
Aislyn just made a face of concern and disgust. Her tongue stuck out and her eyes closed tight like she was actually tasting the horrible concoction. "That is...horrible. Who does that? Ugh. I know I'm dumb but come on!"
Jason smiled sheepishly. "Didn't mean to imply that. Just letting you know it's happened before." He could help the next shudder of revulsion. "So gross."
"Oh, make it stop!" she cried, putting a hand over her face. "That's just vile! Uggggh. Uggggggggh." She paused, as if all was well, and relaxed. Then Aislyn let out a groan and rolled onto her back. "I'm so sorry you had to go through that!!!! Ugh!"
Jason laughed. She looked so miserable on his behalf. It was too funny. "So as long as you cook better than that, we'll be alright."
The sprite waved a hand at him. "I cook great! Thank you very much! You'd want to eat at my house every day with the way I cook and bake!"
Jason grinned, throwing down a challenge. "So prove it. Make me cookies."
"I will!" She looked at him seriously, though smiling. 'When do you want them?"
He turned his head to look up at the sky, pursing his lips to help him think. "How soon can you get 'em to me?"
With a sigh of thought Aislyn mulled it over. "Well, if I went inside right now and everything was in the kitchens....probably within an hour."
That would be good. But it'd also be pushing it. "I'm not gonna ask you to do 'em that quickly. You can take your time."
"Good, because I really don't want to get up right now." She smiled and let her hands lay flat over her tiny stomach. "The sun is so nice and this breeze is perfect."
Jason nodded his head. "I agree. It's a beautiful day today." Stretching lightly, he turned back to face her. "So what else have you got planned today?"
Tilting her head so she could face Jason, Aislyn raised a slender brow before making a face again. "Dunno. I didn't really plan anything. It's summer. Normally I'd be skating around a Sonic right now."
"You used to work at Sonic?" He cast an eye at her wings, still shining brightly in the sun. "And how on earth did you hide those beautiful wings?"
She blushed at the slight compliment. "Half an hour of aggravation in the morning when I was getting dressed, that's how." She shook her head.
He shook his head in disbelief. "Why on earth would you want to do that?"
Aislyn gave a soft shrug, turning her face back to the clouds with her eyes closed. "I had friends that worked there, and I love their food. I got it free all the time. And it was a job. It gave me something to do in the day. Most of my friends are in college. I'm not, so I had to find something to do. Any job out in the real world would have made me do the same thing, anyway."
Jason wagged his head. It sucked, but it was truth. He was luckier than most, simply because he could walk in daylight and look like a human with minimal effort. Sure he turned furry at least once a month and sometimes he had a craving for a Bloody Mary but all in all, it wasn't too bad. "Yeah, I guess."
"I don't know where else I'd work," she said, not sounding serious about this at all. It was a common conversation she had amongst other friends and family. Though her family understood, all of them being sprites themselves. "I could work from the house, or from an office? I dunno. It's not important."
Jason wanted to help, but he didn't know how. "I'm sure there's something somewhere you could do. I just graduated college, so I'm on the job hunt myself."
"Well grats to that!" she smiled at him. "Maybe I could be a telephone operator?"
Jason nodded encouragingly. "Sure! You're friendly enough person. You could also be one of those telemarketer people. Just sit in a booth with a headset and call people all day."
"Ooh! Maybe I could work with dispatch! I could calm the people in an accident or something. Like with OnStar!"
"That would be good." They needed encouraging people in jobs like that. Jason thought Aislyn would be good keeping people calm and getting them help.
Nodding, she thought about it. Well, it wasn't important right now, but it was nice to brainstorm options, anyway. "What do you want to do after you leave here?" she asked. Aislyn was curious about what other people wanted to do. It seemed that many of the students were here because they needed to be and a part of her felt bad for being here just because she wanted to.
Jason looked up at the sky. What was it he wanted to do with his life, ultimately? Well, when it came down to it, he lived breathed and slept football. "I want to run a team. Coach or manage, but I want to take a football team that has no where to go and take them to the championships."
"That's amazing!" replied Aislyn. "I doubt I could ever do that with anything, let alone a sport. But wow!" She nodded at him excitedly. "OH! Speaking of football, did you see Cassie and I are going to make a cheersquad? Now when you play you'll have us rooting for you!"
Shifting, Jason crossed his ankles, working to get a slightly more comfortable position. "Thanks. It'll probably take me awhile to work my way there, but it's something to aim for at least." After a moment, he chuckled. Of course Aislyn here would be the one to think of creating a cheersquad. He hadn't met Cassie but if Aislyn managed to convince her to join in, Cassie must have had a very similar mindset to the sprite next to him.
"I'm sure you can do it," said Aislyn with a smile. "You'll have to call me when it happens, otherwise I'm going to find out from a friend who obsesses over sports shouting at me about some underdogs with a new coach named Jason Something-Or-Other who is fabulous at what he does and looks great while doing it." She laughed a little and fiddled with her hair.
Smiling, he turned to his side, facing Aislyn. "Sure. As soon as I'm in charge of a football team and we're heading to championships, I'll make sure to call you." He chuckled. "I wouldn't hold my breath though."
"You never know!" she replied, pausing as she played with her hair, holding it above her head and against the grass. Aislyn may have looked a little silly. "Besides, I gotta have something to look forward to because I don't now!"
Jason crinkled his nose. "Sure you do. Summer's out and school starts back up in three months. Or is it four?" He paused for a moment, looking down at the grass for the magic answer. "Anyways, there's things to do and plenty of time to do it."
She laughed, touching his arm. "Yah, yah. Whatever you say~" She was only teasing. Aislyn knew she had plenty of time to try and make something of herself.
Jason was sure Aislyn could easily make something of herself, but he was talking more about the immediate future. He'd spent the past seventeen years in school of one form or another and now that summer was here and he had a diploma, he wanted to celebrate.
Then they needed to celebrate. "Wanna come watch me bake your cookies?" asked the blond as she sat up, her hair a mess. The wind tousled it around before she started to fix it.
Jason pumped his fists in the air. "Cookies!" Grinning like a little kid, he jumped to his feet and reached down to help Aislyn to hers. "I'll even help. I can lick the spoon or something."
Taking Jason's hands with a grin, she easily got up to her feet, maybe standing a little closer than necessary. But she moved away quickly and started in toward the school on foot--her wings were still tired. "You can lick the bowl, too."
Yes!" Jason jumped a little with glee. Cookie dough was the best stuff on earth and he followed Aislyn into the building happily.
