With a small laugh, Elle sipped at her tea. It was too hot to really have a flavor, but the warmth was settling her tummy already. "I would dare say you've become a master at holding your tongue," she said quietly. Setting the mug on the counter, she looked up at him to explain. "I know that, as a teacher, your job is to help people. And I know that even if you weren't a teacher, you'd want to help people. It's just who you are, what you do. I love that about you."
She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, once again averting her gaze from Nox. "But... as much as you want to help, and as smart as you are... you don't know everything. You don't always know what's best, and you can't fix everything." She bit her bottom lip. "So when you can't help, or someone doesn't want you to... it must be hard to supress that desire of yours to come to the rescue."
